I think I'll second that... FJ lives have Yuki, and her radiant smile alone is a great bonus. :dote:
Besides, Kalafina lives are naturally about Kalafina songs, while a Yuki Kajiura live is about OSTs as much as songs. :ayashii:

Thirded. And yes, seeing Yuki smiling, blazing away while playing and having great fun on stage is awesome XD

I know...it's nice to have Kala DVDs, but I miss Kaori and Yuriko and Kajiura-sensei too.
Personally I'd like to have a FJ DVD instead of Kalafina one :uh..:

@alphie @Nick
Yes me too fourtheded :shy: agree's wholeheartedly FJ >>> Kalafina concerts!

For me....Yuki may be an additional reason making me prefer YK live over Kala live... but the main point is I love Yuki's OST songs>Kalafina songs>FJ 4-formation songs...that's why I'm hesitating about the YK live#9... (Umm..the stability of FJ live performance quality may be another point..... :ayashii: .. even comparing by post-edited version of their lives only (because we surely don't have the non-edit version for YK live), I still think that FJ is better than Kalafina.)

Well, I think FJ sings more complex songs compared to Kalafina, at least the arrangement and the choral flair they have make them sound that way. I remember Keiko said it in an interview too, how FJ is about all of them having different parts but blending together like a choir.

I love Kalafina too, but for different reasons, I don't know, it's hard for me to compare them and choose, we should just get DVDs of both, honestly. They can just print a thousand copies if they think it won't sell well, that way they earn some profit and don't lose a lot of money in the process (which seems to be all they care about, sadly)

About the only performance we have to judge by is Epithalimion/Hanamori no Oka from the Hokuto no Ken Wedding/Funeral/Whatever it was, which was pretty good. I personally like Wakana's Hanamori better than Kaori's. But all three of them (since Kaori wasn't there) had their off moments, too, especially when the drums were playing since they weren't wearing monitors.

You've got a point there. Although actually I totally dislike Wakana's Hanamori no Oka.. the best part of that performance is only when Keiko take the "oka wo umeta, shiroi yuki ga.." stanza

But I still love FJ's performance more because they seems to be more free, unlike Kala that have to be burdened with memorizing choreography so by itself affects their singing.

^ I found (personally) Keiko to be really out-of-tune through most of her line, although her voice sounded nice...but it's kind of a moot point anyway.

To be honest I like FJ and Kala equally, although I'd still like to have more FJ DVDs. They have such different styles that it's tough for me to compare their performances.

Funny because me and my friends found (personally) that Wakana is really-out-of-tune in that performance, and most of her notes is awfully flat and emotion-less

^ I don't want to judge Wakana's performance, since we haven't yet heard Kaori singing Hanamori unedited...as a matter of fact, we haven't yet heard Kaori singing unedited in FJ at all, so there's no way to know how good her performances are. And as for Wakana's voice, I like the way her tone fits the melody of the song. Just my opinion :sparkleguy:

^Ok..I think both of you got the point....I forgot that performance....I don't approve Wakana perf. in that one, too....and I prefer Kaori's Hanamori no Oka.

^ Sorry if that got dragged on too long :imdead:

To be honest, I'd like to hear an unedited performance of Kaori's. Something tells me that she'd be very good, although there's no way of knowing...

Further to the idea of getting a mail forwarding service and FictionJunction club membership in order to get tickets to one of the volume #9 live shows:

I've had a poke around http://www.spacecraft.co.jp/fjc/ and with my mearge Japanese skills haven't quite figured out how one actually gets FJ club membership.

Has anyone here done so?

I agree, I enjoy FJ live more not just because of there freedom in performance but the voice harmony, I don't know why, maybe because there's 4 of them and the quality is better than just Kalafina.
Ofcourse, another reason is that there's Yuki Kajiura on YK lives, and she's the main reason why I look forward to it.

+1, and I must personally add that that I love Kaori :nosebleed: Yuriko is also an important piece that's unfortunately not present in Kala's lives, so...FJ + Yuki on stage = win :gimmeh:

not only that , the girls faces Yuki herself " Yuki: don't you girls mess up my songs! :glower: , Utahimes: :omg: yes Yuki-sama  " so naturally their harmony sounds better there. :ohoho:
