Yuki Kajiura LIVE vol.#8

They will probably just sing in the garden of sinners and paradigm from KnK (which are, ironically, some of the songs I could care less), so I'm not looking forward to the KnK segments in this. They could at least gimme that Hanae track from F/Z (the guitar one).

^ maybe we could individually mail Yuki about this (to try to not include in the setlist works that have been already performed in the already released DVDs and focus on her soundtrack works of the past 4 years) :ayashii:

It's not impossible for Yuki to include it. Back in PH's hayday, there was Crush in the setlists. :ayashii:

@George: performing a staple handful of classics is common practice. Try finding an Elton John live without Your Song or a Deep Purple Concert without Smoke on the Water. It also caters to those who always mzy be attending the artist's concert for the FIRST time.

^ Some are not really classics (eg zodical sign) they have been made so via the repetition during the lives, so its different to have 4 classics in each live than having half setlist with old songs or songs that have been already performed, especially if you are going to release a DVD, in which case half songs will be the same as in the 2 previous DVDs.

I, too, suspect that some of these may be repeated not SO much due to their classic status as due to their respective live versions being well-received. They all got nice upgrades on the stage. They're also good for turning the audience on. No wonder Yuki uses them again and again.
As to half the same songs, well, let's see the actual setlist before judging. As a matter of fact, I listened to YK Live Vol.4 the other day, and about two thirds ofthe actual setlist are different from Vol. 2. And Vol 2 featured works up to, what, 2006? And Vol 4, counting Yuuka's section or not, concentrated on 2009. Since then, I daresay the list of Yuki's best works has grown notably, so I don't thnk Vol 8 will be necessarily overcrowded with songs of Bee Train era etc. Although hey, even there, some neglected gems still lie in wait. Endlessly, I Talk to the Rain, Saints, Inca Rose, To Nowhere, Aura... A lot of potentially epic live songs. :shy:

I dunno, I think Zodiacal Sign's a classic... :leaf:

^ You're right...I would've never heard of it if not for the lives. :imdead:

Same for me. I'd never paid attention to them unless I heard it live. Mezame is a different case. I'd loved it way before they performed it. As for her classics, I thought it could be Canta per me, the most famous song. But how many times was it sung?

When I say "old songs" I dont mean songs before 2006, but songs that have been already performed live numerous times, no matter if they were in DVD or not, in our case zodical sign, yume no tsubasa, mezame, salva nos. I too would wish she was putting in setlists awesome songs from old works of her for example voices silently sing, siren song, moebius, maze, melody-salva nos ver., ship of fools (only twice performed), selent ceremony, evocation, mai-otome songs, etc, aside from songs from new works (countless examples: Sekai Satoyama, Pandora, Rekisihi Hiwa Historia, Kara no Kyoukai, Madoka ,Fate/Zero). Instead she seems to prefer the "classics" over introducing her fans to her numerous kajiurago songs she has been composing since 2001 or even before, and that makes me kinda sad.

I love Zodiacal Sign, especially listening to Kaori perform her Kaijurago part :dote: That was the time, she go all out in power on Kajiurago Live! and that made me :nosebleed: :touched: , besides Yuki most likely having fun chanting her Kajiurago :XD:

I would love to see Meterialise and Frenetic live as well :plz:

More Materalise, Mezame, Ensei, Seiya, Angel Gate, Yume No Tsubasa, and Everlasting song Lives :goodjob:

and also Wakana's Fields of hope, wakana's Shizukana Yorouni, Gatherway, and Stone Cold Lives :hero:

the wish of the Kaizer :hero:
