[LIVE] Flutist Rie Akagi, who was scheduled to appear at #YKL21_Xmas "Yuki Kajiura LIVE Special edition ~Christmas Dinner Show 2025~" to be held at Hotel New Otani on Sunday, December 21st, has been forced to cancel her performance due to an unsuccessful fracture sustained in July and will be undergoing further surgery. We sincerely apologize to all fans and related parties for any concern and inconvenience this may cause.

Oh this is sad.

She must be going through so much pain being close to 70 years.

She’ll probably be immobilized into next year.

True music is special, in comparisation to AI music.
You need to come together at the same point in time in the same location and hope everybody is in good mood and condition.
This is what adds true worth to music: It's made by true musicans at the perfect moment in time and space. Luckily this is SO MUCH FUN so these musicans can enjoy an intensive hobby and still make money with this. : ]

Sometimes it doesn't work and people can't get together to make music... like in this case.
I always thought Rie Akagi is adding extra magic to Kajiura's pieces like in [ Paradise Regained ] from minute 3 onwards.
Let's hope Ms Akagi's piece can be backed up by another good flute.
