Well, you guys DID work hard for this so I'll save the criticism for another time.
Nick Hunter said:Hopefully I'll get to listen to the song tomorrow... But nonetheless, I thank everyone for their participation (even as a bystander... But I remain assured that the absense of my vocal is really for better )! As for whatever drawbacks the recording may have, they are no news, nor could they possibly be - considering the conditions, equipment and time factor, one could hardly expect anything to rival a professional recording, especially as we speak of Kajiura's music. However, AFAIR people who want to sing something like "happy birthday to youuuu" to a person they care for, they seldom gather in a studio, hold auditions, rehearsals and such (unless they're pop stars in their own right). And this song is basically CPM's HAPPY BIRTHDAY message to Yuki, so something tells me the goal has been achieved.
so won't you guys stop quarrelling over trivia on the eve of a significant day?
Who's quarreling? We're just discussing viewpoints on a situation.Nick Hunter said:However, AFAIR people who want to sing something like "happy birthday to youuuu" to a person they care for, they seldom gather in a studio, hold auditions, rehearsals and such (unless they're pop stars in their own right). Let's try to find the insult in saying, "Girl, keep it real."HIS MASK said:*yawns*Mint Truffles said:Butthurt over a little criticism? Save it for someone who gives a damn.
Well, you know what?
I don't care about what you write.
You're the person who should save words for someone who cares. And save insults only for your own type, please.
Actually I meant 'sorry for having argued', not 'I'm still going to argue now'.tsubasa said:I think you should cut it off
To be honest, I totally agree! You put it better than I could have.Kizuato* said:I didn't imply any of such. My point is that since we're making an appeal to Yuki Kajiura, we should at least give it our best and send out our top work, instead of a first or second draft. Criticism is key to a good final product. By flattering others, we are only holding them back from doing their best.HIS MASK said:No offense, but do you mean we should hold auditions before selecting the vocals next time?
Keeping things real wouldn't kill everyone. I'm not denying the fact that people didn't give it their best, and neither does Mint! But how do you expect people to grow if you don't tell them the matter of fact?
