Well, you guys DID work hard for this so I'll save the criticism for another time.

Hopefully I'll get to listen to the song tomorrow... But nonetheless, I thank everyone for their participation (even as a bystander... But I remain assured that the absense of my vocal is really for better :XD: )! As for whatever drawbacks the recording may have, they are no news, nor could they possibly be - considering the conditions, equipment and time factor, one could hardly expect anything to rival a professional recording, especially as we speak of Kajiura's music. However, AFAIR people who want to sing something like "happy birthday to youuuu" to a person they care for, they seldom gather in a studio, hold auditions, rehearsals and such (unless they're pop stars in their own right). And this song is basically CPM's HAPPY BIRTHDAY message to Yuki, so something tells me the goal has been achieved. :sohappy:
so won't you guys stop quarrelling over trivia on the eve of a significant day?

Who's quarreling? We're just discussing viewpoints on a situation.

Don't come back at me with "You're quarreling right now", 'cause NO I'M NOT! I'M JUST PRESENTING A STATEMENT.

Butthurt over a little criticism? Save it for someone who gives a damn.
*yawns*
Well, you know what?
I don't care about what you write.
You're the person who should save words for someone who cares. And save insults only for your own type, please.
Let's try to find the insult in saying, "Girl, keep it real."
You obviously cared enough to reply to absolutely nothing at all.
The instrumental was well done except for the violin.
The voice mixing needed some work done.
Some of the vocals needed work done.
Since you WANT me to be rude and obnoxious, I'll just ask this: Are you self-conscious because you're the one who sounded like the dying orphan of CPMe?

Heeeeya, guys! You did it!! =))
Another job well done. I'm sure Yuki will be most pleased after seeing this ^^
Which I could've helped/participated too, but I lack the talent for this sort of things, hahahaha xD~
And as a Yuki fan, I would like to thank you all for showing so much cinsideration and support for her =))

Guys, let's not get into a fight again... :uh..:

Just heard the song, it sounds great! I think the effort that everyone put in is enough even if the song is not perfect. It is definitely not easy to put something like this together, and two thumbs up to everyone (especially palawa and the instrumentalists) for doing the hard work! I'm sure Kajiura-san will love it :dote:

Also, Zui's drawing is adorable :shy:

Sorry for the argument, everyone :uh..:

..The main site?
*goes to check*

Ohh!!!
Zui-kun's drawing is soooooo adorable :shy:
*crosses her fingers and hopes that Yuki will like the pic and the song*

And today is Yuki's brithday, so...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUKI KAJIURA!!!!!!!!!!!!

[EDIT]
I meant 'sorry for having argued', not 'I'm still going to argue now', so now I edit this post to make the meaning clear.
[EDIT2]
BTW, no sarcasm intended here. :uh..:
Sorry if you misunderstood

Re: Yuki Kajiura Birthday Project 2010[Recording deadline Au

I think you should cut it off :uh..:

Actually I meant 'sorry for having argued', not 'I'm still going to argue now'.
If the meaning wasn't clear, then sorry :uh..:
I edited that post right now to make the meaning clear.

No offense, but do you mean we should hold auditions before selecting the vocals next time? :confu:
I didn't imply any of such. My point is that since we're making an appeal to Yuki Kajiura, we should at least give it our best and send out our top work, instead of a first or second draft. Criticism is key to a good final product. By flattering others, we are only holding them back from doing their best.

Keeping things real wouldn't kill everyone. I'm not denying the fact that people didn't give it their best, and neither does Mint! But how do you expect people to grow if you don't tell them the matter of fact?

PS:
*yawns*
Well, you know what?
I don't care about what you write.
o_o;
To be honest, I totally agree! You put it better than I could have.

Lets not forget that it was our first time for making a song, and that there were many technical problems (like that there were many broken microphones, and not equipment good enough for the recording of the violin parts)

I also recognise some of my faults: 1. I should had let someone with music knowledge to do the separation for the lyrics and 2. I should had asked for voice samples before the lyrics separation, so that it could be easier to choose which lines each singer should have sung XD

Next time it will be perfect :D
for this time its good enough, thinking that everyone is in different part of the planet and that we are all amateurs ^^

Well done everyone!!!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

oh and, HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUKI KAJIURA!!

Well, as expected, the recording is nothing professional, but the main impression I got can be expressed by one word: CUTE. :dote: Way to go, minna-san! :sohappy:
The pic is also uber-kawaii :dote: :dote: :dote:
And of course, now, oficially -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YUKI KAJIURA!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

CUTE, that's exactly the word I was thinking of while listening and mixing your voices :dote:.

Good job to all :sparkleguy:
