Edit: This is the kind of coherence and artist identity (at least visually) I wanted for Hikaru: be one thing and "be it" strongly. Wakana is much stronger in that sense having the whole classic anisong/Ghibli ballad diva vibe from the start.

OK, this song started as a YouTube advert (random recommendation, ok maybe not so random since I follow the bassist, MINA. formerly of the now defunct Girlfriend) and the vocalist immediately reminded me of Hikaru - the vocal range and the visual vibe, and the fact that it's a rock song too!
