I think they lack the criativity to elaborate an interesting PV despite financial "problems". I've seen other artists (and I mean Japanese ones) that most probably have even less budget than Kalafina and were still able to develop really well-done PVs.

I agree with this. Their PV's are always similar, only with different costumes and decorations. And for the covers of CD, it's the same too.

I like "Toki no Mukou maboroshi no sora" a lot more, though :( it's too colourless! but perhaps it's because it's mecha.. = robotic = emotionless? ;o

It seems that people here has so various taste for the PVs...my favourite one for FJY is Kouya Ruten. The 2 latest PVs for FJ are also cool...but it's in the lower level when compare with the average of all other PVs from other artists. I really don't like any PVs from See-Saw.. :uh..: ..but well.. I think that in average, Flying Dogs PVs are better than SME's... :uh..: .

Kagayaku&Magia are the best PVs for Kalafina in my opinion...and for Sprinter..you know..except the fact that the girls-look are good and it may be the first impression of Kalafina PV, there are nothing else that make I think that it's good..

It seems that it's really off-topic..lol. I guess that Stone Cold should be different from Toki no, and more energetic..we may have something similar to Silly-go-round+Progressive... :ayashii:
 
I think the micro-cover looks nice. The coloring is more atmospheric than the Toki no Mukou one...for some reason Toki no Mukou always looks washed-out to me whenever I look at it, and all of the girls look Photoshopped into one picture :uh..:

As for the PVs, I don't really have a favorite...I remember Silly-go-round being pretty good, and I like Progressive because they actually MOVE in that one, but the other PVs don't stand out. I found Sprinter way too static for such an energetic song, and Storia was rather strangely done. (I.E., first they do a 'flicker' between shots of each girl walking down the road in the beginning, and then for the closeups in the middle and the walk-away shots at the end, they do a fade out/fade in instead.)

And I can't remember any more... :spotlight:

Oh yes, I do remember Anna Ni...namely, I remember getting bored halfway through because it was just Chiaki and Kajiura-sensei jamming to the music. Then again, I'm not really a fan of this song aside from the Kalafina live version :leaf:
 
i'm not into energetic PV's. that's why i go for honoo and kagayaku,oh kouya as well.well different people, different taste.

the cover is sooo cute *literally*
 
-off topic post about PVs-

looking back at my comment, i realized i was wrong. i like sprinter because of scenery/lighting/makeup/feeling, but those factors can just as easily be utilized in a photobook. but since we're talking about PVs here, a PV based on only those things (without a decent plot and changing atmosphere) wouldn't work.
so yeah, you're free to whack me for saying those things :XD:

i think kagayaku is the best kalafina pv so far, but i just have to say that i was SO disappointed by magia's. i liked the mirror and flower scenes, but most of the video was basically the girls standing around and singing. a bit better than other kalafina pvs, but it had promise and just didn't follow through. >.<
