The Video Game Thread

^ Yes. You must have that update as soon as possible. It is a must for you to play the recently released games.

As for PKMN X and Y, by using the Player Search System, I can see a lot of trainers that are connected to the internet and "pass them by". I wonder if Keiko is among them... :ayashii:

I just finished Until Dawn and I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 5 now.
My PSN-ID: ask me ^^

Playing Ys I+II for the most part now.

I'm also playing Grandia II Anniversary Edition which was recently released as a PC version. From what I've heard it was originally on the Dreamcast which makes it even more fun to be playing a JRPG from back then.

I play a lot of different games. I have Xbox 360 and Playstation 4, and thus, I usually play console games. I do have a few games on this Macbook Pro of mine, but this piece of junk is really not for gaming T_T I need a new computer...

At the moment, I'm really into The Witcher series, Mass Effect series, Assassin's Creed series and Bethesda's RPGs. Although the past few days I've played nothing but Chrono Cross, which I have on my computer. Totally legally downloaded. Shhhhh.

Necrobump

Can anyone suggest some metroidvania/castlevania/platforming games which aren't hardcore platformers or combat focused (I panic easily)?
PC/keyboard preferrably.

Some examples:
Alwa's Awakening/Alwa's Legacy
Headlander
Hollow Knight (a little too Souls-boss-heavy but the exploration made up for it in spades, patiently waiting for sequel)
Momodora
Ori and the Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps
Shantae #2+#3 (#4 Half-Genie Hero sucked, waiting for #5 to get some serious discount)
Song of the Deep
Steamworld Dig 1+2
Unepic
Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Bloodstained (a very stale redux of the above)

Some others that I remember trying:
Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human (those bosses... yikes...)
Aquaria (I don't even remember why I quit but I've no intention of going back - I recall not being able to skip the intro)
Dandara (mouse controls in panic ragequit)
La Mulana (got somewhat deep into the game but then I couldn't make head or tails of the puzzles and didn't want to use a guide)
Guacamelee! (I got pretty far but couldn't get past one boss battle where you had to quickly ?transform?change colors? to block/attack - way too many buttons to keep track of on keyboard controls in panic)
Outbuddies DX (rather enjoyed it but - ashamed to admit - I couldn't get past the first big boss due to controls and panicking, might try again)

@grunty Celeste is an awesome platformer. Very manageable difficulty and the story is also pretty touching (deals with stress/panic/anxiety)

I'll try it. I was under the impression it was more on the hardcore side.
The game is definitely brutal if you're obsessed with 100% completion. If story mode is all you care about, it's actually not too bad.

I remember trying Shovel Knight at some point. Before any of the DLC were out, I think. Don't remember why I quit... I probably sucked at pogo jumps lol.

I doubt anyone cares but lolz - I do and I need to prematurely geek out a lil bit.

A new Little Big Adventure is "happening". I creamed my pants a lil.
Hopefully it actually materializes and isn't a kick in the nuts.

Sum OST just to keep it more relevant:

(opening for LBA arrange from the "symphonic" suite; quotation because reasons, even though I adore this recent release)

(and possibly my favorite from LBA2 which was omitted from the suite; maybe they decided to not mess with the original w)

This is amazing. 😍Me and my brother loved the 2 original games. Suprised EA sold the copyrights.

... and all the hype is gone.

The new game will apparently not be continuing the story from old games and instead reboot it.

Best of luck to the Creator&Devs. I do not like this choice at all but it was yours to make. Hopefully a trailer gets me interested in the new game.
