I don't know what the deal is with this 3 track mononoke movie 1 soundtrack sampler when I can't find any details on a full release...

There's no bluray or tokutens announced...
I can only assume they are waiting for all three movies to be out to release a soundtrack?

A great composer. His music sounds very fresh and dynamic. I'm not a particular fan of his older stuff, generally speaking, but I do like his more recent stuff (from the 2010s onwards) a lot.

Didn't want to bump that Future anime thread with off topic mononoke movie1 stuff again but maybe someone isn't as disappointed as I am with Iwasaki's score for it:

The 3 track digital release for movie1 soundtrack featuring the OP/Reason reveal/Taima release BGM is linked above but if you can't wait for the full release (who knows when), you might also want to know the bluray menu features the first major mononoke attack BGM. (From ~39min into the movie.)
