my cousin has absolute pitch and i'm so jealous
I don't but I carry a tuning fork around so I can just bang it and know what C sounds like (although its the 512 C...i think actual musical instruemnt C is slightly different)

this is a tuning fork, if you whack it on someone's head or desk or something, it will vibrate and make a sound at whatever note it's set at :3

TINNNNNNNNNNNNGGG
diapason in french ! :P

one day, my physics teacher brought a diapason, then my pianist friend said : hmmm it's possible that it may be LA. heeeh absolute pitch is pretty cool, but it's not that's it's useless but you know what I mean huh ? ^^'

:twitch: ouch! no need to hit me with it! see, i'm bleeding over here!

Well, i'm close to have thath abcolute pitch, but i can't play any instruments :...: .... but i can outpoint mistakes pretty fast

Pointing out mistakes is easy, because you heard the song once and if the melody is disrupted, you will then recognize a mistake.

A simple test to see if you got a absolute or relative pitch is say the notes, A, B, B#, G etc along as you go when listening to a song. =]
(yes i CAN do that if you're wondering x])

B#? lol

i was playing Link's Target Practice and in one of the stages you shoot fruits flying in the sky and it makes a different sound each time and she was naming them all as i was shooting T_T so jealous

Maybe she did it to make you to lost your concentration hahaha
I would like to know to play by ear (I think it's called this way) but I'm unable to "translate" sounds into musical notes.

yeah i know, i play piano and flute ^^;
I usually call that note C though >_> even if its in the key of whatever key that has a B#

I played the flute in school. We used to play many songs from The Beatles, Elvis Presley or the theme from Titanic (I can just remember these hahaha) I had to "translate" the scores to do, re, mi, fa etc because I was unable to read the sheet and play at the same time.

(Now were is my flute? aaaaah who knows)

youuuu you lost your flute!!
you played such fun songs in high school! we only got to do boring classical songs :vomit: unless we joined the band where we get cool music but have to be at practice at 7am

hehehe me too, I wrote do, re, mi, fa...next to all the notes because I could not read them.
:XD:
hey classical music is that so boring ?? =___= I thought it was good...

you joined a band ?!! o__o

school band! we played cool yuki-like music  and sometimes the teacher got me to do the piano instead of flute :XD: To support the trombones because we didn't have enough trombones.

school band is great... there were none in my school, only a drama section... but it opened shortly before my graduating, so we didn't have time to finish the play we' been preparing. :...:

woo there were no school band in my high school <__<
trombone, piano...was it a sort of orchestra ? ._.
