Rito leaving Highway Star

Hmmm at first, I thought that was the reason why she isn't one the vocalists of YK21 but now I think that has nothing to do with it. It's a pity, I really liked her voice, it was "solid".

I wonder what's going on with this.

PARADE album is running out of original vocalists lol
 
From the FictionJunction/Yuki Kajiura collab side, I think it sucks because I enjoyed rito quite a bit and she is a solid live performer.

With that said, while I do not think rito's solo EPs under Highway Star were bad in any way, they were not to my taste and I did not particularly care for them. From what I can tell "wonderland" EP was produced by Mori, don't know about the "rito" EP. rito was the sole lyricist on both EPs, so she was involved in the artistic process.
UNFOUNDED SPECULAH: If rito was not happy with the direction HS producers were trying to push her in and/or HS was not able to support rito in the direction she wanted to go, then I think she should do whatever makes her happy. I'm looking forward to hearing the direction she takes, if she gets to release music on her own terms.

I don't think this announcement specifies whether she was unhappy with Highway Star or not, deepl says she is "moving forward on a new path" while "pursuing music in her own way" (which might as well mean she is becoming a full time dentist).

I don't know where you got that, I'm going off deepl.
And even if it's that, a hypotetical situation of rito having issues with HS/Mori, I addressed that in my italic speculah corner. There's nothing more to it, as far as I'm concerned.

I had used google at first but even with deep L its still a similar meaning IMO as pursue music doesnt mean she ll quit it completely as it would happen if she becomes dentist.
 
Where did I say she would "quit music completely"? I mentioned she was "moving forward on a new path" while "pursuing music in her own way". Maybe she meant exclusively a new musical path, maybe two completely separate things. And no it does not mean a similar thing as "my own style of music", which implies something specific about music itself. "Pursuing music in her own way" might as well mean her never appearing in the spotlight and just working behind the scenes.

With that said, your google translation and your thinking very well MAY BE RIGHT (unlike mine with the deepl TL)! I'm not going to argue hypotheticals on a vague announcement like this (and processed through translations). It does not concern me in the least.

Whatever's the reason here, her happiness is literally the only thing that matters. Best of luck to rito on her new path!

Yea! Hope rito does find the goal/happiness she looks for. The more I think about her leave the more I start to feel I'll be missing her presence. I was looking forward to listening to her in YKL21.

Her voice (more of the strength in her tone and/or articulations, not sure how to describe those :3) gave me quite some refreshing tingles in the YK world as it's pretty unique with an almost shounen-like youthful quality in both PARADE and lives, and I thought it might be a good inspiration for future collaboratios. I was really brightened up by her performance when I was at Kaji Fes as it was a very pleasant surprise to me - senya ichiya suited her so well in my opinion, rito was very expressive and playful.

May their Junction come again in future :D

Question: YKL had guests who arent in Highway Star right ? Like KOKIA or our opera singers (Yuri Eri and Hanae) which means even if she is gone she might return in the future as a guest.

That’s what I was wondering myself and I imagine there shouldn’t be a problem since she parted on good terms with everyone.
