Although I admit I always thought it usually involved contacting a mod, apologizing and asking for the account to be restored, not making new ones and being conspicuously corteous and dramatic... But I don't know if it counts as a good recommendation or not.
At least there are no objective truths and waifus floating around this time... Let's see how things will develop and what new nicknames will be adopted... Er, you didn't read that last one.

I recommend Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria It's a video game. Awesome gameplay but its only played on PS2. TriAce and Square Enix have this nice tandem when they create a game. You should google it! But if you're not interested, don't mind me
