And the episode did have a couple of new BGMs, including a touching melody during Madoka's talk with her mother.
all in all... the episode was awesome. You could say it completely deconstructed the genre. Being a magical girl has never been less tempting, really. Anyone wanna keep complaining about Madoka's indecisiveness to become one?
While I was amused at the amount of distrust about Kyuubey, it was the first time I wanted him grilled myself. The things discussed should have been in the contract - but of course, it would scare people away - yet Kyuubey has never even mentioned it as the basics for prevention of accidents! Only Akemi seems to know about Soul Gems (and considering the amount of things she knows, I won't even bother asking for sourses). Kyouko's face straightly reads "OMGWTF" - the poor girl obviously realizing she's paid a much bigger price or magic than she expected.
I'm anxious about the next episode - the preview hints about the matter between Kyousuke and Sayaka... considering
, I'm a bit worried - and AS speculations don't help it. 
the caterpillar looks like it has two hands somehow...
or those may be some extensions from the ears... WAIT, WHAT???!!!

but seriously, the Gem doesn't seem so fragile to me, otherwise it would break even landing into the truck. And that means it would be better to throw the Gem somewhere in the grass - it would be easy to retrieve,

I'm doubting in that theory...since epi5, we've already known from Kyouko that what Sayaka tried to kill is "what will become a witch", and it doesn't have a grief seed. I guess that if we're based on that theory, the darkened soul gem should directly changed to a grief seed instead.. BTW..there may be many kind of witches..some are born naturally, and some may be changed from PM...
As for the CD....OMG...I'll wait for more info...I hope I can have a good OST....

Oh boy, now Sony's joining the trollercoaster.
It'd be fine if these CDs were full-fledged OSTs, but with a one-cour show there won't be so much music. Meaning we'll get the same ost, but in two portions. Of course there's the possibility of Yuki releasing additional tracks of the "inspired by" kind. Which would be beyond awesome, but is beyond doubtful.
At least I hope there will be no M01s this time around.
