/me hates the new school fence and the black/white magia scene

Madoka Magica novel announced

I'm a bit confused, it's presumably a simple book, but some rumours claim it to be actually a visual novel. :XD: Probably the effect of knowing that Nitro+ is at the steering wheel.
Gen Urobuchi isn't writing this one, but supervising it. Hopefully closer than the manga. :plot: And the cover drawing is by Yuupon, the same Nitro+ artist who supports KyouSaya pairing :psst: :sparkleguy: seriously, I wonder how Nitro+ will handle this matter :ayashii: :plot:
Then again, Hanokage (the author of PMMM manga) deosn't seem above that, too. And then people wonder why Sankaku let this anime beat Kannazuki no Miko in its home field. :psst:

For more of this, check out this blog entry. Run, kids! RUN!!

As expected, he's only targeting girls. And we thought Pedobear was dangerous... :swt: :XD:

And kinda amusing how QB's head came off at the top of the slide.

Carmic retribution? :knife:

ep 3, 4 difgference between TV and BD

Isn't the first pic from BD Vol 1?
/me thinks the new school fence is more expectable in its quirkiness, given what the school itself looks like :ohoho: And Sayaka somehow looks unexplainably cuter in this shot. :ayashii:
Madoka's dream also looks better now IMHO (although I agree it may be resembling Elsa Maria's barrier a bit too much now), but I'm puzzled at some other fixes like the whole witch hunt scene (the city looks gloomier and the trees are leafless instead of blooming - OK, maybe April's a bit too early for blossom in some places, but the first episode shows the trees full of leaves already! Do witches affect them, too? :confu: ).
And Kamijou's room is redrawn darker, in the twilight, with a bouquet of flowers removed. Has it come to the point when even the animators no longer want to be nice to him? :ohoho: :ohoho: :ohoho:
But I like the fixes in opening scene. :ayashii: Heh, and that long-haired Madoka... at least ONE foreshadowing element was there from the start. :plot:

And then I clicked one of the related videos and... :white:

EDIT2: Apparently Homura has a problem with twintails...

also an actor allusion here :psst:

Looks like there will be some kind of live streaming of Madoka special episodes (?) in June 18 and 25 at nico nico :confu:

:ayashii:

special episodes? :ayashii: :ayashii: :ayashii:
hopefully they're not going to pull off an alternate ending like Angel Beats (while I liked that one, Madoka SO doesn't need such tricks). :ohoho:
But we can daydream and imagine some, well, slice-of-life specials... or even Oriko adaptation? :sohappy:
*daydream mode off* ah, come on, it will be a marathoning rebroadcast of first four episodes with BD fixes. :psst:

George those screenies are from the first 2 episodes. ;)

Here's some ep3 comparisions from AOD forums:

Why they are chased naked ?

it happens when you mash up the ED with the "stalker Homura" meme. :psst:

and the shipping never stops... :ayashii: :dote:

In some cases it really becomes a "spot the difference" game. :XD:
LOL, they changed Kyuubey's expression after Mami's demise, now it looks less like a grin. :ayashii: Charlotte's smile, on the other hand, looks crazier now (I kinda liked the TV version more).
Before MadoMagi, I have never actually heard of Shaft's BD policy, so it just won't stop amusing me now. A mere digital release becomes a fullscale patch. :ohoho: Nice way to raise the sales in the age of Youtube, huh? :plot:

@George: I had to wait awhile, but it loaded. Try F5'ing it several times.

I dont remember seeing in the anime Homura kissing her

Fanart shows LOTS of things you won't remember seeing in the anime. :psst: Beware of Rule 34 especially. :knife:

meanwhile...
this article briefly hints that both Madoka and Bakemonogatari are being considered for an overseas release. :ayashii: :plot: :sparkleguy:
The Russian anime market is not doing well now, but I pray Reanimedia takes up this project, too. :plz:

wanna slap homura

if the urge gets too strong, you can always suppress it by rewatching episode 10. :XD:

Hope that by "overseas" they mean Europe too :blood: though I dont recall seeing anything related to aniplex in Greece so guess that the company doesnt exist here. Then I can only hope for the manga releases

It was discussed by Aniplex of America, so... no Europe in sight so far. :uh..:
But aren't there any anime distributors in Greece? It's not necessary that only Aniplex subsidiaries should license titles like Madoka and Bakemonogatari.

No there arent, they only sell anime dubbed in greek from their american versions (like Pokemon and Yu gi oh :uh..: ) and they sell some manga too, they majority of which they import from UK, manga like Bleach, Naruto One, Piece, Love Hina, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, Fruit Basket) they crappy-translate some in greek too but they translation is lame and it makes it more expensive too. Aprt from that, no sign of Japanese music or anime :uh..:

Well, AFAIK the situation with Japanese music is tough in many countries. I heard that licensing an OST often costs as much as licensing the anime it was composed for. :desksweat: Besides, importers don't see much of an audience and demand here (sufficient for profitable distribution, that is), so non-anime J-Pop recordings are extremely rare, too. In our country, even the pirates aren't enthusiastic about Japanese music - an album by Keiko Matsui and a weird recompiled edition of Appleseed OST are the only bootlegs I've ever seen around. :leaf:

I wonder if that would expand the shown timelines or confirm that there were more of them. :plot: although Gen-san might have just converted the rest to CD dramas.
How about they release the 45 min version on BD? :gimmeh:
