Puella Magi Madoka Magica ☆ Magia Exedra Game Theme Song "Lighthouse" FictionJunction feat. LINO LEIA

Sooo @CloisteredFlame... @george1234 is misleading you a bit.

Takumi Ozawa did Magia Record ANIME adaptation. She had nothing to do with the Magireco GAME, which featured music from a wide selection of composers (Edit: including Kajiura's anime BGM). Likely the same will be true for this game going by the PV sound.

As for FictionJunction feat. LINO LEIA.

1) cool, hopefully. Hachigatsu no ORGAN is still probably in my bottom 3 on PARADE.
2) digital 1track single or full single with instrumental or we waiting for OST/FJ album.

🤦‍♂️I totally forgot that digital singles is a thing nowadays…
Girl, release a full single cd of the song with its instrumental coupling with Magia (2025 version) lolrandom

I m pretty sure the scene tailored tracks she makes sometimes serve a similar purpose. An iconic one for me is the rooftop bgm (M12+13) from Knk 1 and the end of Ep 1 from FZ where Point Zero plays.

There's just something about "Magia"for me, maybe because I watched the original anime last year, after seeing so many comments about the characters on YouTube comments. Also having loved the MV and the Kalafina performances.

I don't have as in-anime context for "Point Zero", having only ever heard it in Kasahara's KajiFes 30th performance.

I watched the fan recording of the performance of "ring your bell" at Guangzhou almost an hour ago.

I was listening to LINO LEIA specifically for those high notes, including for the bridge. She actually improved compared to that Fate anniversary, where she was really not good!
Do you have a link by any chance? I can only find the Fate anniversary one

I always got more Yuuka vibes from Hachigatsu, though that might just be because it reminded me a lot of Akatsuki no Kuruma’s progression.

It might be written with Wakana or Kalafina in mind I guess...
Tons of post-Kalafina songs were very obvious future Kalafina songs. Hibari, Kimi ga Mira Yume no Monogatari (Asca does a great job in both though), from the edge, Akeboshi,Homura, Koto no Hoka Yawarakai -I'm not sure of because of Yuriko's parts, but the song borrows very very heavily from Ongaku and Sandpiper. Despite not having any SAO tie-in and Sokyuu no Fanfare has that distinct generic Kalafina anison feel to it (plus the song's structure is very obviously Kalafina).

Songs and music are usually done a year or two in advance unless it's something like Point Zero, which used film scoring so Kajiura and the animation director would sync the timing of the shots to the music and vice versa.

Sure, because Kajiura continues/d writing & producing songs and had things turned out differently Kalafina would have been available to attempt them.

So you're suspecting that Kajiura had these compositions (at least the melodies) prior to leaving in 2018, or that she prepared them at some point with the hope that Kalafina would come back together?

I don't get that vibe. The fact that Kalafina could perform them (with the proper arrangement) doesn't mean that Kajiura wrote them for Kalafina (which didn't exist except as a memory).

I really don't think it's that deep.
Kajiura makes a song. If she can make it work with what she has available, she will use it. If she can't, she might abandon it or put it back in her scrapbook.

Somehow we got a KAI release with Aimer rather than Chiaki. Somehow we got a destination unknown release with Kalafina, rather than YUUKA (presumably, as per JASRAC).
