You actually come to appreciate the instrumentation a lot when you listen to their songs with headphones on (signal blows me away every time I listen to it, especially the second verse with alternating left-right guitar riffs).

This is pretty much my opinion on Heavenly Blue (and Believe) as well. Most of their songs sound great even on my iPod with the mediocre cheap earphones that I use when I'm going to/from work and sound even better at home in lossless format, directly ripped from the CDs with my relatively expensive headphones. I can't really comment on Heavenly Blue as I don't own the single nor the Best albums and thus only have it in lossy format leeched off the internet somewhere, but Believe doesn't really benefit much from better tech so I'm doubting that Heavenly Blue would either.

Signal is also fantastic for many reasons, including those that you mentioned. I gained a lot of extra appreciation for Magnolia under similar circumstances.

No, actually, I don't want to make something new. I just want to make something good, whether it's new or old. For me, there's no difference if I frequently use a style non-stop, because everything is the same for me. If it's good, I'll use it. I don't really see genres. For me, it's either good music or bad music, basically. It's very simple.

Wow, this was difficult. It was very obvious for me which songs were at the top and the bottom of the list but the middle part (24-50) was not easy to figure out.
 
Call me an a** but how can one says lapis has meh beginning and meh while liking Haru wa Kogane more when that song has zzzz arrangement, zzzz melody lines, and almost no harmonisation. There is no redeeming point for that song for me, that song is practically the lowest song Kajiura ever made, even worse than storytelling.

Agree with the headphone thingy, the song that blows me away when I hear it with more expensive headphone is Kyrie though.

Wow, 84 songs. I love that there's so many now. So they can change up their setlists. This would be my dream setlist though, with obbligato first, since I love the songs so much. I did hear it live at ACen, so that was a treat. If they sang all of their songs, it would probably be an all day event, or they could break it up to three days, so they wouldn't get tired. They could wear their different outfits for each single too. (Love the ttb dresses) But I can dream, can't I? Oh, and Yuki would have to play with them again.

Hi guys. I hope you don't mind me ranking my Kala songs and bringing back the thread as well, I've always wanted to do this tbh.
Some songs will be in the same ranking next to eachother because I can't choose them over another while other songs will be not, it's little messy but it's the only method for me.
it's very interesting to see others' rankings as well.
