^ Well Konno isnt only working with Kajiura, and he isnt menthioning her, so it could be an other artist.

Also its unlikely they would record the album songs so soon since even if they release one around December or January they have 3 months till then, no I guess its not an album.

^ I guess it could be another artist too, but for the past few days I've been seeing Kajiura-san's and Korenaga-san's Tweets about studio recordings (the Tweets don't come with pictures though) so I think it is highly likely that this recording could be for Kajiura-san. I don't really know how long album recordings take since I don't work in the music industry, but isn't 3 months prior to release too short a period? :confu:

^ AFAIK japanese recording studios are very expensive and with a big waiting lines of artists wanting to record their own stuff, so what they do is to hire the place for 1-2 days and record all songs during these days, they dont spread it across weeks. Also there isnt anything announced. Hanako to Anne has almost finished, so all its music is already recorded, and GGO too, not sure when Mother Rosario arc starts. , and they are surely done with "believe" single too. The only thing I could think of is new music for Rekishi Historia.

^ I see. I imagine there must be lots of advance planning involved. And it must be really stressful to have that tight a timeline to record everything. Can't afford to make any mistakes :@_@:

^that makes sense. iirc (I'm too lazy to go into the other room and check the CD booklets!) they use two or three studios in and around Shinjuku and elsewhere in central Tokyo, so I'd expect it to be pretty expensive to hire. Plus there are the extra session musicians (accordian, flute or whatever is being used this time), and I expect they hire high-profile producers and sound engineers, being a project for a major label and all. It's not the sort of band who just jam together in a room with some Steve Albini-type studio tech getting it down to tape in one take!

I'd be interested to know if they use any analogue stuff, but I expect it to be the quicker and more convenient digital in a place like that...which would ease the time constraints that @a-chan mentions. Time is money and all that. Still, Yuki and the 'regular' band members have worked together a lot by now and are all experienced in their own right, so they've probably got their approach to rehearsal and recording nailed down pretty good.

That's a lot of ambient mics in that photo btw...maybe they have brought in a quartet or small orchestra after all?
