New FictionJunction album "elemental" and YK Live vol. #11

I don't know, maybe st will get better, like having a Yuriko part, like I'm hoping. It reminds me of Hoshikuzu so much though, and they already did a song like that, so they should have something new. But at least the other songs are great in my opinion.

I'm liking elemental so far, but I'd still like to hear the whole thing before cementing that opinion...

I am NOT a fan of storytelling so far; like someone else mentioned, it sounds like...well, like generic J-Pop. The percussion/beat reminds me of misterioso–it has that same...uh, groove(?) to it.

Storm... I'll have to listen to the original but Wakana sounds lovely here, her singing kind of reminds me of Celtic-ness for some reason. xD

Gaika is my favourite out of the new songs, I'll definitely be having that on replay when the whole version comes out!

I'm glad to see Kaori getting some main parts but Kajiura-san, y u no give Yuriko main vocals too? ; w;
Anyway, only one week until the album release!

Yuriko-nee may not get a full song to herself, but hopefully she'll get the refrains or the next verse. Gaika and Storm (?) have over 5 mins each and so far we only heard 1/5 of them. I'm loving what I heard, seriously :shy:

On a side note, I really want Keiko to sing Storm's refrains :imdead:
 
Loving the new songs so far. Elemental and Gaika sound promising off the bat, but Storytelling, starting more evenly (the official sample is hard to make an impression of), unfolds into the refrain and the bridge which appeal to me a lot. :dote: Indeed something of a callback to Saeko Chiba period as well as to FJY one (if I were to make comparisons, I'd compare the song to a love child of My Green Park and Silly-Go-Round based on the first listening). :ayashii:

Storm is fine, although I expected Yuuka there. In general, the lack of Yuuka is saddening. Maybe she'll still get some parts in the new songs, though.

Personally I quite like May'n's first song and ViViD, Aoi's and Maaya's second track are fine, too.
 
I actually liked May'n's song, and I don't really like her that much. But Maaya's is kind of blah, although I like Be Mine.

Listened to gaika again, I really can't wait until next week! I will be so happy when it comes. It reminds me of Tsuioku crossed with this song I'm playing for violin. heh Also Asuka I thought was no longer with Yuki? And Yuuka has really gone solo, even though she had Hitomi no Chikara recently. *sigh* I do really love her Yuki collabs though. (I do like her solos though too.) And I was hoping for Yuriko too, but like I said maybe she'll still be in there for a solo part.

Omg storytelling is horrible. It's so weird. I got some appreciation for elemental after trying to put on repeat but storytelling is a big no. The only consolation I could tell myself after listened to that song is, at least Yuriko (was it Yuriko? It sounded like Yuriko's vibrato for me) is the main vocalist in the chorus - which is soo random for me.
 
When "kono mama zutto zutto zutto zutto" starts, that's the chorus. After the chorus is when Wakana and Yuriko start singing. I think they're singing in unison, but it's really hard to pick it out.

The technique is definitely Yuriko's though.
