Sato Kyoichi tweeted that Kyozo Suganuma has passed away:

ドラマーの菅沼孝三さんが亡くなられました。

僕とは全くスタイルは違いますけど、あの超人的なテクニックにはいつも感服しておりました。

梶浦音楽でもアルバム『FICTION』の中で「cynical world」「fiction」「vanity」を演奏されています。

ご冥福をお祈りします。

Hello everyone!

I hope this is not being forward but I was finally going through the musician's page and notice a few things:

  1. Naomi Nakahara, the Uillean pipes player from KajiFes is not represented in the musicians section. I saw that @Kugayama had made this comment earlier.
  2. There's no section for bagpipes, but instead a bagpiper is listed with the sole uillean piper. I think the bagpiper can stand alone, since Naomi would be added to the uillean pipers' section.
  3. I noticed some of the musicians' data needed updating. Apart from their career info, there were dead website links and sometimes myspace pages, and also links that don't lead anywhere. I don't know the process for updating or how difficult it can be since the admins are volunteers, and I seriously appreciate that all the available info has been gathered over years so we can have an overview in a single place!
My thought was just about people searching for anything Kajiura-related, and how some things are written in present tense when they happened a long time ago. Anyway just my thoughts.

I am willing to help with research for any updates.

Thank you for this, im actually looking for help when its available as im doing most things myself when it comes to updating the website with information for many years now and this list is also outdated. Its not hard to update those but i usually prioritize discography and the live setlists. I ll look into it the following days. You can make a biography text for Naomi if you want, in similar style as the current ones:
-early years and studies,
-what she is known for in general
- and some of the Kajiura works/lives she worked on.
You can use as source vgmdb https://vgmdb.net/artist/21598 and seems like this https://namaume.jugem.jp/ is her blog.

I am starting to collate some info.

Nakahare Naomi was born in Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi Prefecture. She had discovered Irish dance through her dancing activities while in elementary school and was drawn to the music, so began playing the whistle and uilleann pipes. She graduated from the Department of Musicology at the Tokyo University of the Arts. During university, she founded the Intercollegiate Celtic Festival (ICF), a three-day music and dance event for Irish music lovers, and served as its representative until the third festival. She released two CDs with her harp-playing partner in the group, Namaume. Also, as a member of the Irish band LADY Chieftains, she performed with the Irish national treasure band The Chieftains, who came to Japan on tour to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

She has participated in various recordings, including the NHK morning drama "Hanako and Anne," the live-action film "Kiki's Delivery Service," and the TV anime "Saihate no Paladin." She has also participated in several soundtrack lives including for "Majo no Takkyuubin Original soundtrack", "Hanako to Anne Original Soundtrack 1" & "Hanako to Anne Original Soundtrack 2" in 2015, and the "WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY Original Soundtrack" in 2016, where in addition to the uillean pipes, she played the tin whistle and low whistle.

Her first collaboration with Yuki Kajiura was the LIVE vol #15 ~Soundtrack Special at the Ampitheater~ in June of 2020, and later she was part of the LIVE vol #16 Soundtrack Special at Osaka in 2021, and most recently was prominently featured at KajiFes 2023, Yuki Kajiura's 30th anniversary concert.

She states on her Twitter that she also plays the piano, keyboard, and harmonica, though she has also played the tin whistle.

I relied on the Google translation of the text on FictionJunction Station website for her profile (first paragraph), while I copied the rest from other sites.

After adding her to the Uillean Pipes section, I think the bagpiper should have his own section, since they aren't exactly the same instrument - similar but not the same (like violin and cello).
