I gotta say, the bassist looks a lot like At-chan (as Revo would call him), Sound/Linked Horizon bassist, who I've really become a fan of in Revo's music. He's so reliable and musical.

But your post says Jun Hasegawa is the bassist, so I'm not sure.

忘れてることって意外とあって。
2時間ほどみっちり昔の高音の出し方を思い出すために、基礎的な発声を考えながら練習してたけど、納得いかなくて、声は枯れるし、どうしようかな…と考えながら帰宅して、やっぱり我慢できなくて練習して、
ふと、とあるアーティストさんの昔の名曲を聴いたら、急にひらめくものがあって。
そのまま練習を再開したら、一気に解決して。
難しいこといろいろこねくり回しても、結局、私の高音の出し方って気合じゃない？って（笑）
自分が衰えたとか、そんなことより、気合じゃない？って。
「気合」って言葉で私的には表現してるけど、きっとその裏で気が付かない身体の使い方があって。
やっぱり、欲しい声になるなら、それに近い声を、曲を聴くのが一番だなと。
このまま、気合でライブまで突っ走れ！私！

You know, there are surprisingly many things you forget. I spent a solid two hours practicing, trying to recall how I used to hit those high notes, thinking through the basics of vocalization, but I wasn’t satisfied, my voice got hoarse, and on the way home, I was mulling over what to do… then I couldn’t hold back and started practicing again.

And then, out of nowhere, I listened to an old hit song by a certain artist, and suddenly it clicked. I jumped right back into practice, and it all came together in a flash. No matter how much I overthink all these complicated techniques, in the end, isn’t my way of hitting high notes just about sheer willpower? (lol) Not that I’ve gotten worse or anything like that—it’s just about willpower, right?

I’m calling it “willpower” in my own words, but I’m sure there’s some unconscious body technique working behind the scenes that I don’t even notice. Still, if I want to get that sound I’m after, the best thing is to listen to songs with a similar vibe. Alright, let’s charge straight to the live show on pure willpower! Me!
 
it's kinda funny because the other day i had a bit of a situation I couldn't use my head voice, it's like i had forgotten how to access it and made multiple attempts without success. Then the other day i put music in the kitchen while cooking while listening to kalafina, and I was able to suddenly use positions i couldn't in the other room.

Oh, you're also a singer??? I'm not sure I knew that. Nice!

Very interesting about how listening to the music of a singer you admire unlocks your mental block to achieve (or reengage with) a previously challenging skill.

It's the origin of all our singing - imitation. 🚀
