Okay, grunty triggered and I’ve unintentionally contributed. Let me step in and explain that I’d had similar opinions to what’s coming up here after Wakana’s first release(s) — much negative, rare positive; HOWEVER, at this point, I gladly went back and reappreciated her debut of my own volition and now cringe at my initial thought process.

I certainly didn’t mean to seem hypocritical, as that’s what grunty’s paraphrase has made me sound like.
 
I probably wouldn't have taken it as such if that line didn't start with "Wow, are y'all serious..." which to my simple brain just immediately put us at different ends of some kind of spectrum... And then that "Jesus" at the end. Welp.

I apologise that I went straight for the pitchfork. I'm a simpleton.

Oh no you’re fine. I’d sacrificed much of my eloquence in typing that first comment rushing back to work, and my everyday speech is often something that requires a person to hear my tone.

Thus I immediately knew this was just a complete accidental misunderstanding. 🤗
 
voice is super fine. :)) songs are boooring.

funny, here Keiko's range is wider than what Kalafina songs show I think. The range was always there; Kalafina songs were not putting Keiko to the forefront as much. this voice is so good.

composition though is awful. Kajiura ftw.

Kajiura really shouldn't lose Keiko... and yes debut wise Hikaru had way more impact than Wakana/Keiko. but Keiko to be fair is just beginning.
Wakana is "prolific" but the voice problems *sniff*.

Good composition is harder to manage than the natural voice you have I think. Kajiura was the mastermind behind Kalafina, despite the inconsistencies in quality =genius=
 
This is so depressing...I was hoping for better results with Keiko partnering with Avex. Especially since they produce so many good artists. I still can’t get over that Kalafina got disbanded and these are the results...

This whole post represents me. Yes. Agree.

Anyway, this is her first single, only for digital platforms. Just a quick single, announced 2 weeks before the release and with a "music video" recorded at home (because of the quarantine?). So, her next single has to be better and -I'm sure- more promoted.
 
It's not a surprise since i sang praise of Wakana's magic moment album but i listen to that album regularly. If anything i think Wakana needs to work with the exact same composers for her next project.

Time to listen to Keiko's debut.

Yup songs are as bad as I expect them to be but her solo debut really shows that Keiko is the one that capable of singing solo the best. Wakana has issues that are always discussed and even though I really liked her songs and her showing improvement I would be lying if I say that she's great because she is not. Hikaru, despite having the best debut song sounds really really weak as a solo singer (no support, barely there legato, almost can't sustain a note).

Keiko pls look for better composers in general to work with on your future projects thank you. Your voice is too beautiful to be wasted on mediocre songs.

I mean, if you don't literally share my opinion please refrain for posting, otherwise I'm going to make another tumblr post! I mean, if you didn't like the songs then just stop listening and keep your comments to yourself smh. I only want to read positive things about my goddesses of music! Well, except Kaori cuz she's like super generic and shrieks like a banshee. And Yuuka cuz her voice is like super annoying. And Eri, Yuri, Yuriko, Hanae, Remi? Couldn't care less about them. Queen Soprano Wakana is way bettah!
 
We get it, Puts, you're still visiting the forums. You don't have to use "Anonymous" quotes which put you on a pedestal as a spring board for your hatefully righteous essays. Oh wait, that's your schtick. You have to be the One and present yourself as the One.

PS. I see they posted hi-res rips of Keiko's single in their negative review (but don't mind that - they respectfully support them anyways unlike others). What a nice fellow pirate. But wait... what is this? "DO NOT SHARE"? Quite tempting...
