Thanks for the pics Yuki88

It looks like Kaori was practicing writing the names of months. I see "Septembre", "Octobre", "Novembre", and "Decembre" repeated there :XD:

Hmm, that must've been an extra challenge for her, writing in English lettering instead of kana. More dedication to admire :ayashii:

learning a new language is hard.i commend Kaori for that.i'm not interested in French and i find it hard to study the language.so is she really a French major or it's just something related to what she studies :confu:

@murrue02: Look over previous posts.

As for Yuki, I think she graduated uni with an engineering degree. Don't know what sort of engineering, though. Did she receive any professional music training?

Yuki learned the piano since she was in Elementary.she was a systems engineer right.i also take up engineering but i'm not sure about systems engineering

As for Hikaru's opinion for Real Butterflies..as I've read from many comics, all insects are classified as disgusting animals for Japanese culture... they're sometimes used to be symbol of bad/disgusting things. Even some insects that are quite common for me like moth or dragonfly were also used in that sense....so I guess that it may affect Japanese people like Hikaru...:confu: (It's just my guess.., but at least, I'm sure that the view of insects for Japanese people must be very different from Thai people...they must think we're crazy to eat fried grasshoppers or silkworms as snacks...:XD:)

P.S. Really off-topic....don't get me wrong..even in Thailand, eating insects is a kind of unordinary food, but many people are still able to eat it...and oh..some foreigners ask that do Thai people eat cockroach? :omg: (coz they knew we eat grasshopper...:XD:.) Absolutely not...!!! There are only some edible&clean insects that we can eat... Absolutely off-topic again...ant's eggs are absolutely awesome....>____<.

So Wakana family is also a reason for her 'classical-like singing style'..lol. It's really an interesting topic. We know really little about their lives, esp. non-music-related lives.

^ White SNAKES? :confu:

*nod nods*

The rare albino ones.
Is it albino boa?..:confu:.. the very big&non-poisonous one..with creamy skin. (It's the only one kind of snake that I know that they have albino form in nature.)

Re:

Gah.. I don't know of ANY culture that thinks it's acceptable to eat cockroaches. EW! :blood:

All animal species (humans too) have albino genes somewhere. About albino snakes in particular, I think the coloration in each snake varies from different colors to creamy to white depending on the nature of their albinism. I'm just guessing here, but I think Keiko probably likes snakes whose albinism affects them in a way so that they are pure white in color. :confu:

My aunt went to China last year and there's a market where the seller sell lots variation of insects-dishes, such as cockroaches, cicadas, grasshoppers, etc.

:omgz:

I can stomach grasshoppers/cicadas/crickets. Just not cockroaches!!!!
:barf:

(Off-topic FTW :w00t:)

Re:

^ oh please don't. :ghost:

@winter: btw Takamina ate a kind of cockroach in the absurd dodgeball :psst:

iirc I read somewhere that Wakana got interested and started training in choir after watching Sister Act :XD:

eat fried grasshoppers or silkworms

...And this is the reason I can never go to any countries like that. Just seeing bugs, alive or dead, scares me. :uh..:

But does this mean if you wake up and see an insect, that can count as breakfast in bed? :ayashii:

^ I'm sure you don't eat what you don't wanna eat, so I guess that'll depend on if you'd like to accept that bit of... room service? :XD:

^IIRC, in some interview, Yuki said she studied system engineering and worked as a system programmer until late 20s when she turned pro as composer. And it (I think) her works can be date back to 1993 (or when she is 28)

So Wakana really did early works on choir musics.. kinda like Yuuka's way then (musical/opera group). Her operatic now makes so much more sense LOL

Btw some (less) off-topic: I always thought Yuuka and Kaori both sounded very lyrical (like singing a musical). Now I know it probably comes from their background. [Kaori has better control and more stable...I like her more]

Did Yuki talk about what sort of music classes she took at a later age?

Adding more musical background info: Kaori and Keiko have experience with singing jazz. Some of Kaori's performances are floating around Youtube.

I like that Kaori's voice is less nasal.

Kaori's jazz (in her BJ girls period):

Keiko mentioned in an interview she sang jazz before...any video?? I can sorta imagine Keiko fits jazz better than Kaori..[deep low voice is sexy]

Kaori's voice famous for being bright and open, so yea I agree ^^

I think not...:XD:..I don't know much about another culture that can eat insect, but in Thailand, they cook them with a bulk of seasonings that you can't tell what you actually eat...:XD:. (Just taste all seasoning, and the insect itself is so crispy and dry like a kind of snack..just a snack for some people who want to try something unordinary..:XD:) I doubt that there will be any cultures eat them 'fresh' without cooking them..:confu:...(I won't dare to eat cockroach for sure....but...seriously..in China.. :omg: .)

Back to topic...:XD:..Kaori's jazz are awesome!!! :shy:.
