Just want to share one of my favorite singer. :sparkleguy: KANON

About Kanon: She was born in Japan. She studied in College of Music in Queensland, Australia. Then later she debuted in July 2002 in Japan. She is currently under Sony Music Japan International. Her style reflects contemporary classical.

They say her voice is “one that heals,” which is an accurate description considering her soothing vocals and extensive range.

:shy: Yes she does. Such beautiful vocal. :dote: And she's also great live :knife:

If anyone knows La Corda D'oro then you have heard her. She sang "Brand New Breeze" :nosebleed:

Information from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanon_(singer)

I actually like La Corda D'oro :shy:
She is also a singer of "This is my road" in Guin Saga :ohoho: It's pretty nice, you should try it :V:

The weird part is, I only discovered her because of this Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles- fanmade AMV. :XD:

huhuu i was surprised when she started singing in perfect english!!
She has a lovely voice <3 but I'll never be able to sing along with my manly voice :shy:

@tabete: I love that song, and the AMV. Thanks so much for posting it. (I love Tsubasa) She sounds so much different in this song than the Shiki song she did. (She is the same artist as Kanon Wakeshima right?) She sounds more like Kokia and I even thought of Enya at first. :dote:

@Kerahna, She was raised in Australia. So you're an Alto? :waii:

@Liana_Ilia, Deshou! :dote: Kanon and Kanon Wakeshima are actually two different singers. Her stage name is just "Kanon" so its hard to search for her music with just that. I'm still looking for her real name or something to add to "Kanon" to distinguish her from any other singer with the same name. (I like tsubasa too. Its a shame they did not finish the anime :knife: )

If you like "This is my Road" you might like these:

:nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed:

^Ah, ok thanks for clearing that up. And I like the My Destiny one, she actually sounds more like Mai Kuraki and in the 2nd one she sounds like Alison Krauss. They are both nice songs.

Knew her from La Corda as well and subsequently, Guin Saga.

Since I'm a FF-fan, I was screaming in uber euphoria when I heard this rendition of hers.

Totally breathtaking~!! :shy:

It's a PlayStation rpg game, a series actually. There are 14 ones out so far which are independent in terms of storyline from each other except for selected few like FFX which has a sequel, FFX-2. The games are popular due to their plots, gameplay, music and over the years, graphical improvements.

If you want to play it, you need a PS console. However, Square Enix did release a few of the games in the series for Xbox, PC (online mmo for FF XIV) etc. That's....of course, the legal way of paying to play the game. For the illicit way.....I don't think it's a good idea for me to share here. :ohoho:

FF did have a few anime and movies released. The most prominent one would be FF VII Advent Children. However, it would be harder to fathom the movie if you had never played the game before. (I remember screaming when I first watched the movie's beginning scene since it was parallel with the game's ending scene. :XD: )

Umm.... as far as i know she jsut went to Australia to study, she was raised up in Japan and studies music when she felt she want to continue her study in foreing country where she took solo singing (but i can't remember very good if she was encouraged to do so or it was her own wish to do so).

As to how differentiate her... isn't knowing Kanon=カノン and Kanon Wakashima=分島花音 good enough? It's super big difference in Japanese.

Oh a game. I have watched FF Advent children(It was nice BTW :XD: ) since then I've been curious about FF but I did not have enough time to research and play it during college. I want to play it now but I dont have a PS console so maybe I'll go with PC. I'm interested in that "other way" :ayashii: . But I do plan on buying it after testing it and seeing if it fits my taste :knife:

But I've read in Wikipedia that she was raised in Australia :confu: Do you have other info regarding her? And where might those articles be? :knife: Maybe I could add more info about our mysterious singer :ohoho:

Ok maybe my info is incorrect (well at least part of it is xD). Her official side doesn't say anything beyond graduating in Australia and at J-MELO she only said that she went to high-school and uni in Australia but she didn't say if she grew up there before age 14.

^ oh i see. I've re-read the article in wikipedia and I might have misinterpret the sentence "Though born in Japan, Kanon lived much of her childhood away from home". You're right, it must have been just as you said. She studied in Australia but her parents must have remained in Japan.
:ohoho:

I know her because of Brand New Breeze. Wings To fly was so familiar I realized it was Tsubasa Kudasai.

My favourite (because of the soprano singing style and the orchestra)

Glad to see more fans :plot: :ohoho:

What is tsubasa Kudasai? :confu:
It's a song from Neon genesis Evangelion, if you listen to it, you'll realize that Wings To fly is the english version.
