I've tried searching Neon Genesis Evangelion-Tsubasa wo kudasai and when I've listened to it I thought I've heard it somewhere.(Aside from the english version of Kanon) And I did!

It's a song from Neon genesis Evangelion, if you listen to it, you'll realize that Wings To fly is the english version.

Evangelion's version is just a cover. The original one was written and released back in 1971.
