Kalafina's 5th album wishlist.

I was listening to an old FJ live recording and I'm pretty sure the main theme of Petit Cossette isn't in 4/4. And it sounds great.

So, to add to this thread: more odd time signatures plz?

^YAS! :sohappy:

A little off-topic, but I read that when Pink Floyd were recording Dark Side of the Moon, the song "Money" switched from 7/4 to 4/4 for a while partway through because David Gilmour had trouble doing his famous guitar solo in 7/4. :swt: Even the legends have problems with it I guess. I'm not surprised that Korenaga found his own recording session so challenging then! I can't wait to hear the results though.

Yeah, it was probably for Koibito. That song doesn't really follow usual structures.

I'd love if Kalafina could try some R&B, acoustic, jazz (plz for Keiko) or maybe even Celtic sounds in their next album. (since Kajiura-san did an amazing job in HtA). As "genre-less" Kalafina is, there's still quite a lot of genres untouched by their voices.

Though I'm not sure if Kajiura could ever compose an R&B song though. :rain:

she really will never compose an R&B song because that is like one of the furthest from the list of genres she works with. i think before joining i saw someone say keiko's part in tsuioku was a rap? that was not a rap. r&b and rap are not kalafina and never will be.

however if by some miracle kajiura composes an r&b song, keiko's voice is the only one that fits. only one.

The closest Kajiura has ever gotten to R&B was Lullaby fiction ver. and that was really more of a smooth jazz ballade than anything else. Still, I'd like to think that she'd rise to the occasion if it were demanded of her. If there's anything this last era of her music has shown me, it's that she does exactly what the director/sound director/whoever's in charge asks of her.

If you go for the original definition of R&B as "rhythm and blues," I guess Keiko could do a blues song really well...

the original definition of r&b is rhythm & blues which is rhythm and blues combined. blues is a completely different genre i definitely would not recommend kajiura composing a blues song. even if she uses keiko.

Sometime after the upcoming single I bet, guess is eithe September or October, since after that they have tour titled after an unreleased song lol (far on the water).

Thanks, george1234! lookin forward to it... super hyped
I've been planning to buy an album from this group for quite some time now actually
I think the next album will be good if it includes all the recent singles like heavenly blue and hikarifuru

I guess the most important thing I want on my wishlist can be summed up in two words.

Vinyl edition.

I hope they put Alleluia and KnGnN in their next album while ditching believe and heavenly blue if they're not going to put all single songs after consolation album in their next album to fit as many new songs as possible. Though if they decide to put all single songs after consolation (I'm including both dolce and misterioso since they have tie-ins) they still have 6 spots for new songs.

Alongside with 4-6 anime singles + FotW, all i wished for is to hear something NEW and fresh, just lyk what they did on Consolation album, or a dark-themed album (darker than Red Moon). Vinyl releases sounds great, too.

oh :XD:my bad my bad aahah what an amateur mistake
That's actually one of my most favorite songs... too bad :(
I don't really see the problem, unless you were planning on only ever buying one album from them. I mean, there's nothing stopping you from buying both this upcoming album and Consolation, is there?
