Well world tour doesnt mean they will visit and perform at each and every country of the Earth. A tour that includes Japan, Boston, L.A, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, Germany and Mexico (these they have already visited) is still considered a world tour.

Specifically a world tour these days seems to include a couple of dates in America, a couple of countries in Europe and half of Asia. If you're in, say, the UK, or Scandanavia, or the REST of Europe, or doubly so in New Zealand or Australia, you're usually screwed.

On the other hand, I will travel to Europe if necessary.

I'm currently in that time of my life where I need to focus on my studies and I have no money to go, so unfortunately. I have accepted the fact that I may never see my favourite bands perform in my country, but I'm determined to see Kalafina someday!

Probably just a case of having no one single favourite. I have a few other bands I'd class as favourite alongside Kalafina.

If a world tour is going to happen this/next year and then decided to go to unvisited Asian countries such as Philippines, then I would surely come XD.
And recently, world tours of other SME artists (Eir Aoi, etc) that goes to Europe includes London and France, so be prepared. XD

Popularity. Eir did songs for Sword Art Online, for one, and that piece of garbage is popular worldwide. Also Eir seems to really want to visit other countries, perform and visit conventions and the like, she's probably been pushing for that kind of thing for a long time.

^ Madoka and FSN are more popular than SAO.

I think the main reason is that her english are much better than Kalafina's and SME doesnt want to pay interpreters. Mizuki Nana is hugely popular in Japan but she hardly visits any other country (she has a tone of anime in her portofolio).

If the artist can keep busy just doing live shows in Japan, they aren't likely to tour overseas much. (In the last year in Australia, the only anison artists to visit, and only for one location were Nagi Yanagi and GARNiDELiA, in connection with the company that does Anime Fest Asia).

Kalafina is my favourite band, just that there is another band I would classify as my second favourite. I would go out of my way to say that they are better than Kalafina, even though their singer is nearing his 40's and has throat problems and suddenly sings like shit, I accept it.

@george1234 Inside Japan, maybe so. SAO overseas is a similar kind of thing as Attack on Titan and the like, it's managed to become popular even amongst a large portion of people who aren't really anime fans for the most part. I know a lot of people who have only seen a small handful of anime and almost every single one of them seems to have at least heard of SAO even if they haven't seen it. FSN is quite popular however, but Eir also did music for F/Z as well as Kalafina.

From what I understand, they want to do a world tour, not that it's for sure going to be happen…. but if I'm wrong and they do one in LA, I'll definitely go. Even though they are one of my favorite groups, idt I'd travel to Japan just to see them again unless it's super special live, haha.

Well, them wanting to do it and stating it on a live interview is probably a good start, and the fact that they have been to other countries with success seems to also indicate promise. Of course there's still no guarantee.

I'm still thinking of somehow trying to get to the 10th Anni live if they're still around then, regardless of whether I see them beforehand or not. Last year alone I saw them, one of my other top 5 favourite bands, my favourite composer and got tickets for another of my top 5's concerts coming up this April, so I'm pretty happy with my live music status right now either way.
