hm :ayashii: it seems they cut alot of performances judging from the order shown in the site compared with what was performed http://canta-per-me.net/live-events/200 ... n-anisong/ at least they kept Hikari no Senritsu - glad that Kalafina is popular.

Well this was disappointing... poorly sung (though Hikaru didn't fail as hard as on Anipara) and the edit of the song they played was just WTF (lol @ the cut in the middle).

Yousei Teikoku, who was after Kalafina, was great though, so it was worth watching.

Are they really that poor in TV Live show... :uh..:

:spotlight:

I really don't know who's failing (more) there, Wakana or Keiko... Hikaru on second verse start = lol.

It's super annoying when it sounds fine and then all of a sudden FAIL.

with love to fluffy :shy:

Wasn't it supposed to be video ?

They sure are off T_T (although better than in Anipara) but the melody of the song is so :dote:

How can they sing in the recordings fine and then cant sing properly in the lives ? :spotlight:

Re:

I haven't listened to the live yet, but...

I think the question should be "why do they sound so awesome on some lives and so disappointing on others?" :uh..:

Interesting...thanks for sharing.

Already a good improvement from Progressive, but as much as I wanted to say "it's not too bad", the off notes are bugging me :rain: Hikaru sounds like she couldn't reach the low notes or something and struggled a bit :uh..:

I haven't listened to them either but I see this coming up in a lot of topics so I have to say...
From what I have seen, depending on the sound quality or what the singers can hear when they sing, good singers might end up singing a bit worse than usual. And even singing on a show is totally different than singing at a concert, it needs different dynamics.
The thing is, they have proven they are great singers in other live performances, so there must be reasons for them not performing so well. And judging by the choices Yuki usually makes when it comes to singers, the have to be REALLY good!
So I can only blame the ones responsible for the sound... cause the girls are such awesome singers

Song age and rehearsal time mostly.

Things like mixing and equipment quality as well.

If the earpiece isn't giving a vocalist a decent idea of what they're singing they're basically guessing and if it's mixed well enough, you're less likely to NOTICE if someone goes wrong.

Optimistically, that stuff gets sorted out before going live but I've seen enough singers falling short on TV that sometimes I wonder.

Of the Kalafina/FJ performances I've seen I think they rely more on floor monitors/wedges than they do earpieces. It could put them at the mercy of bad acoustics.
