Kalafina in Budokan 28 February - 01 March 2015

Here's a picture to keep you guys off the current agenda/read of the thread (opinions etc)

Why have I feeling that I'm not on topic of fans but haters of Kalafina? It's sad that a lot of people don't enjoy their biggest live? But a lot of Japan artist don't reach Budokan, e.g. Luna Haruna, Yuuka-chan, Elisa...
Maybe Kalafina was waiting so long because of 2-days reservation?

I spy with my little eye

YES. YES. Even if I can't be there I'm definitely buying the BD if they release one. Doesn't matter if it's got songs I've already seen. It's their Budokan performance!!!

Thank you, dear universe, for this gift. :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed:

EDIT: Hope you guys have a ton of fun, Hatou and bevan!!! It's really great that you'll be there to witness this milestone for Kalafina. I'll be thinking of you guys tonight!! (since it's already almost 6pm on the 28th over here where I am) :goodjob: :sohappy:

EDIT 2: Reading everyone's opinions on the setlist and thought I'd maybe suggest that a possibility why some people are surprised certain songs are considered part of their "Best" collection is maybe because it was based more on their Japanese fan tastes than foreign fans, which most of us here seem to be. I don't know exactly how it is over there in Japan but there's certainly the impression that the fan favs over there are very different to the ones outside of Japan.
E.g. A lot of people here don't seem to like heavenly blue that much but I remember reading somewhere that apparently it was surprisingly popular in Japan. Sometimes what's "good" and what's "popular" aren't the same thing, maybe the "Best" they chose was based on both popularity and quality, rather than quality alone?
I can't say much though because there's nothing in their discography that I actually *dislike*, I just have varying degrees of love for them :XD:

It's because I love Kalafina so much that I'm tough on them. I love their songs, I really do, but there are just some I enjoy more. Much, much more. I know I can't use my own preferences to generalize other people's opinions, but songs like Mune no Yukue and Mirai have no business on their best albums. They basically just squished as many tie-in songs as they could, but the album original stuff on the best tracklists aren't even the best of the albums they were originally on. The songs don't even begin to show off Kalafina's wide repertoire.

But here's the thing. If I hated Kalafina I wouldn't even bother listening to their music. But I don't. I love them and Kajiura's work in general.

Plus I'm also disappointed because the B-sides and seventh heaven songs that haven't been released on BD yet like lirica, Utsukushisa, serenato, Ashita no Keshiki, gloria and Yane no Mukou ni probably won't make it to the setlist. At least we can get to see some of Consolation's songs hopefully be performed much better than in their Special Final BD (signal particularly).

In any case, I'll stop being so butthurt and be happy for now. Good luck to the girls tonight and for the CPM members attending, have fun! :cheer:

Btw, I can't see the flowers yet because they're placed by the entrance to the arena seats and I'm not allowed there. Yet. I'll see if I can go take a look afterwards.

Ah. Yeah. That. They sang it live. But I kinda blanked out because....

Keiko was talking about fsn. Saying there's a lot of handsome characters. She recommended it to the ladies.

K: Ladies?
Ladies: "hai" (yes)
K: ladies??
Ladies: "Haaaiii!"
K: Daisuki!

I melted.

K: lol sorry

I swear. She's really after my heart. *swoon* she was very gentlemanly today too. Lol. She bowed to let wakana pass at one point.

I am about to head to an after live party so no report from me. Not yet anyway.
There were 8 people on strings. 4 violins if I'm not wrong. 2 cello, 2 violas.

She certainly rung your bell today :3

Oooh the setlist is quite good! I'm glad there are Te to Te to Me to Me and fantasia, plus that ring your bell. Who's the main vocal for that song and how is the song?

Te to te to me was amazing with strings. And the instrumental with strings. Omg. It makes me want kajiura to do an orchestra performance. Can't wait for soundtrack day.

Oh. And no accordion today, if it wasn't obvious from the set list.

oh so it did have strings after all ? :D

cant wait for ring your bell opinions. Is it ballad or upbeat ? Lead vocal, instruments, if it sounds like some older song or is unique ? :stars:
