Kalafina in Budokan 28 February - 01 March 2015

Hmm...yeah. I think I understand where Popsock's coming from. Their choreography is pretty dorky sometimes, but I thought that we were all okay with that fact since it has come up in threads before. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

In other news: I'm trying to work out whether I can actually afford this. Between that and a house move, I'm selling off 'unwanted*' guitar gear to keep on top of the bills... :comeback:

*by 'unwanted', I mean "stuff that's not necessarily unwanted, but will have to sit in the parents' garage while I work out where I'm moving to."

Yeah, I didn't mean to sound like I just wanted to be insulting or something

I love Kalafina too, but their dancing in this one is so far out there. I totally hate it... and yet... I totally love it at the same time.

I wouldn't want them to keep doing it like this, but just this once is really funny, and seeing them try so hard at it is weirdly endearing. I don't even know, but I think their dorkiness is part of their charm!

I understood that Kalafina is dorky... My mistake. Sorry @PopSock.
Yes, dance is DORKY and weak. Choreography should be smoother (not so stiff).

I hate their choreography so much but I love it so much too. That first choreography looked liked soldiers from the nutcracker or something, so I immediately thought 'Kimi no gin', but that song wouldn't have that kind of lighting and doesn't have that kind of instrumental, so I'm guessing 'te to te to'. The second one is probably Magia

In other notes, this seems like the best looking concert they've ever had (visually). Definitely getting it now.

Now I can sleep in peace.

the dansu : :ohnoes:

I mean, it can make sense if it is only this much and done within context. perhaps not. but no more please.

what a show though. tons of fans. strings + rie + accordion should be fun. especially looking forward to seventh heaven, hanataba, sprinter, When the fairytale ends (instrumental!), te to te to me to me (strings better be on the loud side).
+ any unforeseen strings/flute/accordian sections to songs I like.

Yeah, so many instruments :dote: Intrumental parts must sound amazing
I have a dream that someday Kalafina will have a live with full orchestra - now it isn't possible but maybe in future

Completely out of money here (have used up to the last penny in saving account) :comeback:
Nooooooooooooooo :vortex:

Gosh darn it, I need to win the lottery to get all this! *sigh* And regards to the dance, I think the GIFs were sped up so they looked like they were doing it faster, but it does look weird. It's either in manten (the dance from that is still one of my favorites, but again kind of not) or te to, which I am looking forward to since I like that song.

Nodame: I had a dream once that I still remember where Kalafina sang with full orchestra (I think it was for Hikari furu or seventh heaven) and Yuki played the grand piano, but then she went and took a violin and started playing with Konno! It was such an amazing dream. I think the closest that we'll get is the strings orchestra they do for the Christmas specials.

I thought about this too. It was a full orchestra, and Kajiura was the conductor. I've also thought about some of the songs they could perform:

Prelude ~ Red Moon (with choir)
Consolation
Eden (with an instrumental opening)
Kyrie (with organ)
Alleluia (with choir)
Sprinter (with choir) (final song before encore)
~Madoka Magica suite~ (While they change dresses)
Overture ~ Hikari Furu (with choir)
Snow falling (with choir, and Snow is falling bridge)
Seventh heaven

It would be nice.

It would be so weonderfull! I watched Nana Mizuki - Live Grace.. Some ordinary songs sounded with orchestra great

I would add to the list too:
- oblivious,
- fairytale (with when the fairytale ends)
- tetoteto me to me
- Lacrimosa
- storia
- magia (especially instrumental part would be amazing)
- sandpiper
- mune no yukue
- ttb and manten
- ring your bell

Oh, so they've finally announced the Budokan Live book officially despite the info lingering around for weeks. Need to get in on that. Do we know if it's an Animate exclusive yet?

And a live version of Sandpiper with a full orchestra would probably kill me with happiness.

Oh no, I've just checked the HMV website where I pre-odered my DVDs, on the product pages of the DVDs it says that the posters are not available (but on those of BDs it says that novelty maybe finished)... I don't really understand.
Does it mean that I won't get the poster?? But I want it sooo badly!! :wai:

They might've just sold out of the poster bonus? I know CDJapan changes their preorder bonus availability when they've run out of stock, so hopefully they've run out since you ordered and yours is already reserved.

Talking of CDJapan, they still haven't mentioned anything on the site about any bonuses, so I'm still not sure we're even getting them.
