A quick question though: is there a name for the hairstyle with those bangs that hang down either side of the fringe? I know about the long hair+fringe is the 'hime' cut, but I don't know what those side-bangs are called. I've seen lots of girls/women wearing their hair that way - it looks really nice to me because it 'frames' the face - but I've never found out if there's a proper name for it. Anyone know? :confu:

Keiko's hairstyle seems to be a slight variation of the hime cut. I thought it was the hime cut but I guess the sidelocks have to be straight according to Wiki? If it helps, Keiko mentioned she took on the hairstyle after seeing Mischa Barton with it. I haven't come across any photo which has Mischa with a similar hairstyle though. Maybe someone who's more knowledgeable would know? :confu:

So the bangs/sidetails (what are sidetails? I'm assuming they're the side thingies framing the face) are both counted in the hime cut...well, sounds pretty much like Keiko! With the straight hair and all :ohoho: And she definitely fits into the Elegant Gothic Lolita part, so I think we can safely say that Keiko does indeed sport a fair dinkum Hime Cut! :ayashii: :ohoho:
 
@Cerise: thanks! Keiko's hair always makes her look elegant and sophisticated, but it must take a lot of time and effort to keep it looking as good as that. :dote:

Aoi Yuuki has her fringe/side thingies done in a similar way, but she wears her hair shorter...which gives a her a cuter 'kid sister' look.

Keiko's is still my all-time fave hairstyle though. :hero:

You're right. It could be that Keiko meant the similar layered sidelocks shown in that photo.
