progressive live > lacrimosa :shy:

Greasy old man scared me I couldn't finish watching it...tis a shame that the girls did so poorly..they looked positively stunning :XD:

I don't see a reason to be so critical the performance looks slightly below budget anyway..maybe they spent too much on the outifts..

I still have the utmost confidence in my girls :shy: I saw them in Boston and it was like angels had descended from the heavens and decided to entertain a bunch of smelly otaku children with songs of merriment :nosebleed:

It was a case of the mondays :knife:

and there's a part where Kalafina is asked to define the three girls... so... at least I can understand what Wakana said about Keiko:

Still hesitant to watch the video though...I know they can't be perfect all the time but I feel sad for performers when they mess up.

Ok it has to be the a problem of the material they used... come on, wakana can't sing bad, noooo :cry:
 
Wakana did quite well in this performance, even she's lack of power in some parts. Hikaru did quite bad in the intro... :uh..: ..., but she did well in the remaining. This song may be too low for Keiko... :uh..: she can't project her voice well in some chorus parts..

As for Hironobu's voice, I also think that he sang well, with higher standard than our girls, but the obvious discordance of his voice and the others ruined the performance... It can be said that his voice ruined this Lacrimosa performance, but in the other hand, Kalafina would ruin DBZ OP song performance if they sing it in this manner with HironobuSan.. :XD: .

However, I think Hironobu's Lacrimosa is so cool.. it would be another awesome Lacrimosa cover if he sang the whole song separately without the girls.. :ohoho: , and if we cut his voice from this performance, I think it's better than Progressive performance in the same stage.. :plot: .

Which brought me to a theory - I'm getting this feeling that they are screaming to the mics to hear themselves, which causes them to not be on-key...

I think this is what often happen when the instrumental sound is so loud that the singers can't hear their own voices. I agree with Grunty's theory.. :sparkleguy: .

I won't say that he doesn't sing well, it's just that he changes the shape of the song : it's aggressive when he sings (Cf his solo), and very sweet when the girls sing (just after his solo)...it's like you're trying to draw a shojo manga with the marvel comic style, I would say he doesn't have the appropriate style for this kind of song :O

Zuiyon.. I like your comparison.. :ohoho: . Drawing shojo manga with the marvel comic style...lol.. but I would add something more... the whole shojo manga isn't drawn in marvel comic style, but one of their leading male character, namely Hironobu, has the marvel style and he was put in the shojo manga among shojo manga characters and scenery, namely Kalafina and Lacrimosa... (lonely HironobuSan in shojo manga.... :cry: .)

P.S. I want to hear Hironobu's Lacrimosa&Progressive full version...lol.. must be very interesting!!!

I don't agree.
Okay, I think he sang well, but his voice is not for this song.
I mean that 'Lacrimosa' doesn't really fit the tone of his voice.
(I think he would be better off singing hard rock.) :uh..:

I think a lower tragic male voice will do, though.

the male vocal was also good but it sounded weird since what we heard was usually different =)

ZOMG that was horrible..@_@ get that guy outa there! I had to close the window because of him @_@ Wakana and hikaru seem like their voices are worn out in that one..maybe they need a brake..@_@ if its any constellation they looked smexy there :XD:
