My order's in the shipping process~ :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Is it a coincidence that I found that out just as I finally gave up and started listening to Destination Unknown on Youtube? :XD:

Oh my goodness, Kore-chan :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

My copy has shipped :sohappy: By the time I even feel like writing something about the album it will be two weeks old :uh..:

I'm waiting for my mook as well...plus that t-shirt..cringeworthy? Nah I actually like it :shy: I'll wear it with such pride when they come to the states again!

I actually love snow falling KP-X so by no means are you alone in that regard. I love both versions...they each possess such a beautiful variation in the middle. Sometimes simplicity can be a beautiful thing.

I confess I've youtubed Eden as well...and :uh..: I don't know if I can like it just yet...its just not my style.

Pontianak you do write some fanciful poetry I am impressed :shy:

Two more days till its "official release". I hope they do good on the oricon charts :dote:

Coincidentally, I love Destination Unknown. It is repetitive, but I think that's the way it's supposed to be. The bg guitar and the solo are...well, I can't really find the right word for how amazing they are. And somehow, those drums just work! :ayashii:

Hello :dote: This is my first post: review..um, I must warn you that although I love each Kalafina member unconditionally, deeply and insanely. I feel the most connected to Hikaru. So of cousre My review is a bit swayed by what I would consider a Hikaru centered album.(A dream come true for me? Yes.)

Eden: I think the song is beautiful. I would consider it "epic" in a soft way, not Red moon epic as far as intensity, but epic in the refreshing -brand new morning- kind of feeling. Almost like someone is opening their eyes and breathing for the first time and the awe inspiring feeling that comes with that.( B+)

Sandpiper - Is my second favorite. Loving Hikaru's smooth vocals in the beginning, deep and intriguing. Love the emotion. Keiko definitely has her back in the best way. And Wakana brings it home without stealing the show. Its grand what can I say (A+)

Kugatsu: Excellent. It's simple, yet mysterious to an extent. I can hear a small bit of michiyuki and Natsu no ringo. Loving the "cuteness" of Hikaru's voice. (A-)

In your eyes: Ok this one reminds me of a video game, like Spiral the Dragon (Love that game) -weird analogy right? LOL. Um, I like it a lot, not feeling the constant (in your eyes) when Wakana takes over. But over all it's good and joyful. It won't be on replay as much as others.(B)

Destination Unknown: MY FAVORITE WOW-WHOA!! Damn. I'm speechless, and have been for 24 hours. I've been looping this all day and haven't gotten tired of it. There are many highlights for me in this. The first is the "sexiness" of the melody, something about it screams HOT! to me. Both girls sound thier best. Can I just say that I love Keiko and Hikaru in songs together!! (Hoshi no uta, Progressive, Magia, and others) They complement each other really well. I really like the "hiccup thing" that Hikaru does with her vocals at certain parts in this. And of course the end is awesome how they over lap their vocals and verses. The repitition doesn't bother me in the slightest because there's too much I appreciate about the song I hardly even notice that it's repetitive (Makes it last longer so I can't complain) In love with this (A+++)

-side note: I think the first time I heard Hikaru go deep was at the very end of Hoshi no Uta...and I was floored.

Neverending: Love it.( I hear the fiction Forest in this too :) I've never heard Hikaru in this tone before and I'm like "are you trying to make me fall for you deeper than I already have?" Without her opening this song would have been weak to me, because the chorus is a little...um...yeah. But the "Never ending" part put aside I'm loving it beginning, middle, and the end is phenomenal (lalala), there is something sad about it- and I like that. (A)

Kotonoha: It's pretty. I'm a fan of their more intense ballads with a beat-y/powerful/intricate background melodies- (Seventh heaven, silence of the night sky, etc) so softer ones are hard to swallow sometimes. But this was nice (B-)

Magnolia: Ok (gulp) I'm going to put myself out there and admit that...I am an Ambient/Electronic (and all electronic sub categories) lover it's my favorite genre of music. (Lover of Adore, Kylie, Oblivious etc) so I really appreciated this song. Actually I like this because it carries it's self with a bit more seriousness than let's say...fantasia, or love come down. I like serious. But I def. see strobe lights, and people dancing in cages with glow sticks as others making out in the corner. Do I like it? Hell yes. (and I don't even go to parties LOL) (A).

Mune no Yukue: *wipes brow* I've went through the struggle with this song. The sample had me ready to write it off the potential play list into the "I listen to it once a year" pile of songs. For the sample I did agree with the lion king talk (and I like the Lion King music...just not in Kalafina). But since then I've re-listened and it's very good, losing the lion king effect and beginning to stand alone. I'm still getting use to the chorus but over all the songs fresh and beautiful. Not on my top ten list but not a disappointment either. *fetching it out of the forgotten pile* (B+)

Symponia. I love it. And I love what they've done to it (intensify= drooling). It's um... nostalgic of older Kalafina stuff (what exactly? not sure but it just speaks to the origins to me.) (A)

The Albums great. top songs (Destination Unknown, Sandpiper, Magnolia, Never ending, Symphonia, Kugatsu, )

Re:

Overall, After Eden is a decent album. However if Kajiura plans to make another Kalafina album like this...... :knife: She can give it to FictionJunction. I won't mind even bit.

The lack of Keiko is kinda disturbing. At least Hikaru is improving fast.

You mean?

Personally, i prefer Hikaru chorus in In Your Eyes. It sounds more lively than Wakana's.

Wakana's vocal character is rather gloomy to begin with.

This album was pretty good. I enjoyed it but I doooo miss the surreality and intensity of the Seventh Heaven album. I wonder if Yuki-sama will return with those type of songs for Kalafina in the future?

It has a FICTION II aura around it... Don't know why, don't ask me too...

Because of a Lotus-like bridge? :XD:

Seeing as all three albums have had each a different atmosphere so far, I don't think the next one will be exactly like After Eden. There may be another twist, but what exactly depends on when it will come out and what will be Yuki's point of interest at the time. :plot:

Thanks, but I wish I was registered there as well. :leaf:

Wow, with this boy around, the PV really threatens to have most plot to date. :ayashii: :XD:

Thanks alot tanpatto!

Definitely a better PV than the usual ballad PVs of Kalafina, mostly because of the 2 kids, although I still dont understand why the boy was ringing the bell as if he wanted to hit something with it :XD: oh and the girl was cute and pretty :dote: the Kalafina scenes were nothing special apart from the fact that this time they did show the right girl when was singing, and not the other way around like it had happened in sprinter etc :desksweat:

Just wait until I write a sonnet. Chicks dig sonnets. :sparkleguy:

There's something really annoying about how I can't stop listening to this album. Really. Seriously. Guys. Guys. Seriously.

Re:

Well, is not the best PV but I noticed the new director like in Kagayaku... and Magia. I liked the kids plot, but nothing special.
Thank you, tanpatto :chuu:

Yes, lol.

Thanks for the pics of the PV. Can't wait to see it, they look so happy. :dote: And I love the other pics as well. Mine was shipped today, finally. Did someone scan in the booklet already? Otherwise I can do it once mine arrives.
