Kalafina 19th single "Blaze" ED for Arslan Senki Fuujin Ranbu

Blaze... What an interesting title. Though it's pretty much confirmed by the title that it will be upbeat, I hope it's not generic like One Light. Even though she posted a pic of an electric guitar, I don't think that necessarily means it will be rock. Hikari no Senritsu had an electric guitar in it, and it obviously isn't rock.

And it comes out during the first week of next school year, just like One Light did during this school year.

EDIT: I just noticed that this is the third year in a row that they've released a single in August. I guess they really like doing summer anime.

Blaze sounds kinda generic, but you never know, I guess. I will keep my expectations low. One Light grew on me, but it took its time, so I don't want to be excited like that time.

Anyway, I'm glad we have a date, finally <3

I hope this is something like Lacrimosa. Not a ballad, not energetic; just a passionate song. Something like that, but with more eastern vibes could fit the show.
I wish I am wrong, but I have a feeling that it will have lots of Wakana (even though I love her).
 
I think it's safe to assume every single will have lots of Wakana. These days, Kalafina is basically Wakana ft. Keiko and Hikaru.

Still, I'll probably like the song eventually. I didn't like One Light initially, but it ended up being my favorite Kalafina song from last year.
 
Personally, I hope a "rockish" song like One Light/Signal/Destination Unknown... Well, whatever it is, I am sure it will be great because they are the singer :)

Blaze certainly sounds like an upbeat song. Hopefully it will have a darker undertone especially since there is no reason for there not to be.

Funny, Blaze could also be another light, since a blaze is a type of light.

Looking forward to this~!! Since it's the same show, I'll be expecting something similar to One Light (I do Love that song), but hopefully with a bit more 'fire' to it (pun intended). Maybe bring out the Keiko a little more? She sang all the way through One Light as the low harmony but it wasn't always the easiest to hear.
 
OL was decent, honestly. I wasn't sure at first but there's a whole bunch of great live performances have made me warm up to it a lot.

A similar song with a more interesting composition and a heavy dose of Hikaru and Keiko would be perfect. Wait, that's pretty much Destination Unknown.

Yeah, that'll do.

Lol, Alleluia was released on my birthday (2 October).

I actually liked One Light right from the beginning. Even though it was generic, I really liked how the chorus switched between Hikaru & Wakana, and that it was the first electric guitar-style rock song that we had gotten since Destination Unknown on AE.

From the instruments listed so far, it seems to me that it may be a HnS/Moonfesta style song. It would have been Kalafina's first folksy song in a while, so I'm hoping for that. It would also go with Arslan Senki MUCH better than One Light did.
 
HnS/Moonfesta style is kinda what I've been hoping for for a long time. Something else like that would be lovely and a nice change up, which is definitely needed in regards to Kala singles. Also would give the possibility of another flute solo. I like flute solos.
 
Yeah, Blaze sounds epic from the title. At least I hope it is. Something like red moon again would be awesome. Or maybe some celtic element like sandpiper or Natsu no Ringo. (I am thinking of Kimi ga Tame from Watararumono as well. That was kind of set in that era as well, even though it was animals instead of people, fighting.) I am excited as well! Come on July!!! :dote:
 
Maybe later they won't have a time for it so they're doing it now? Or Kalafia will perform it earlier than August in TV or some kind of event?
 
WOW, she has never before made such long post on FB, i guess she now replaces her blog with this.

she says its 30 tracks in total.
she also mixed a single's b-side (CW = coupling with)

weird she would mix the Bokumachi OST now, while it should have been mixed for the show itself (?)

Perhaps it's to be re-purposed into a new Kalafina song like Storia was? Truly though I don't know.
