A sort of response to nick hunter XD:
I'd like to point out that Everytime you kiss me also reminds me of the Kalafina song titled "Kizuato". I think it's the chord progression. It's very similar. And there is a similarity between Kizuato and Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa (also, the chord progression). I've tried singing everytime you kiss me to the kagayaku sora no shijima ni wa karaoke, and it kind of works for the first two or four lines (can't rly remember XD)

And I can't wait to listen! I'm currently at the school comp lab and i don't have headphones :uh..:

I thought the piano after 'Now let my happiness sing inside my dream' could be naturally be replaced with the piano melody just before WAKANA starts to sing in 'Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa' :ayashii:

Wait, I heard your parallels between Blessing and ETYKM (and i can see where they come from), but Kagayaku joining the list is news to me. :confu: What similarity on earth does it bear to the songs above?

Just listen to all three of them one after another and you will spot the similarity.

I've auto-play this song again and again for more than one hour :omg: I promise I will kill my left mouse button if there isn't an autoplay option... or maybe my own finger... :ohoho:

I love it from only listening to the short version. :dote:

for example, I hated the preview from magia. and it took a looong time to grow on me.
but this seems to be love at first listen. XD

I like To The Beginning :sohappy:

another song with " :TdT: " feeling from Yuki Kajiura

:TdT:

I don't know why everyone is talking about "it's not Kalafina-ish enough, it's more FJ-ish"
Isn't Kalafina allowed to do something else then "Kalafina Songs" ?

btw I don't get what's the difference between a FJ-song and a Kalafina-song. for me songs like >Paralell Hearts< or >Maboroshi no sora< could be a Kalafina song too.
stone cold is a bit different.. but I think that >to the beginning< suits to Kalafina.

And after all it's "Yuki Kajiura-ish", so it doesn't matter or not?

Because it makes no difference between Kalafina and FJ.

@ ninetales: Oh it truly has similar melody with a song of storm and fire but its has something that makes you to not notice it unless you compare the 2 songs. Unlike the similarity between blessing - everytime you kissed me - Kagayaku, this one doesnt seem to bother me so im ok with it.

You're right...it took me a few listens to get the Storm and Fire similarity, although I think it's more in the chord progression than the melody. (i.e., if they were in A minor, both songs would go Am for eight beats, F for four, Dm for four, G for eight, C for four, E for four, repeat.) But I actually find it pretty entertaining. That sort of thing doesn't bother me very much :plot:

Actually I think the same thing, every time I hear it. When I play Everytime on the piano, I tend to go right into the Kagayaku piano after that line :XD:

I think you've got a point. But the way I see it, Kalafina's 'dreamy' style is (or was) one of the things that sets them apart from FJ. The line between Kala and FJ can be blurred easily by Kala doing more 'down-to-earth' music, especially since Wakana and Keiko are in both groups. Since To the Beginning has a slightly more FJ-esque style, it kinda confuses whether Kala is supposed to be a separate group from FJ or not.

All in all, though, I don't mind whether Kala sings dreamy songs or down-to-earth ones...for me, it's more about the music than it is about the style.

When we're talking about FJ, we're talking about only the three singles + Eternal Blue, right? Because then I can't really say FJ has its own style or anything.
More than the similarity between "FJ" and To the Beginning, what I could say that really bothers me is how Kajiura has already a pattern for OP songs (and what's even worse, she hasn't done that many OPs recently and they STILL manage to sound like each other). I played Eternal Blue and To The Beginning and my boyfriend thought I was playing the same song lol

The way it is for me is that I think it is just very different for Kalafina. Even more different than their After Eden songs, which I enjoyed. But maybe the instrumentals are so different from other songs. (It actually reminded me of some of Megumi Hayashibara's songs. heh) I love that Yuki's trying new things with them. :dote:

A cover already, and of the bass! That was fast (just posting it here to show the "feedback" of the song). Anyway, I think this single will sell quite a bit, probably overcoming Magia as well.

Just thinking about it now, who sings the "doko ni mo" in the first part? Is it Wakana or Hikaru?

Also, is that Yuriko, Wakana or Hanae Tomaru ( :omg: :nosebleed: ) singing the kajiurago between the first and second parts? :confu:

Extended, doesn't have some random noise and quite good quality

I really like it, Hikaru sounded great in it. I want to listen to the full version of the song before I pass judgement about it though.

It sounds similar to a lot of other Kajiura songs, but I guess that's kind of her main style nowadays?
