Kalafina to appear on Music Fair, airing at FujiTV on 14th Feb, 18:00-18:30 JST.

A collaboration cover of promise from 1997, ゲレンデがとけるほど恋したい and a live performance of storia.

This looks a thousand times better than that Utage joke of a music show. Music Fair is a long running show and is pretty famous. This will be good exposure.

The ones in italic are the setlist, @george1234.

^ A few notes to add to that. Kohmi Hirose (広瀬香美), the woman in the red outfit in the photos above has an extensive career as well as being the composer and lyricist of the songs that she sang with others on that Music Fair programme.

Anime fans may recognise her from the song "Groovy", the ending theme to Cardcaptor Sakura:

Hirose Komi's Romance no Kami-sama was the first CD Wakana bought, wasn't it? I take it Wakana is her fan?

storia live is pretty much the same with the one in the Best album Nicovideo live lol but I especially don't like how they sing "ai no stori-a..." Plus this songs suffers so much from Wakana's new singing technique because Wakana's head voice used to be so powerful and that's the charm point of storia.

Another tweet about Keiko saying dangerous things, asking everyone to go read it. lol

Note: Weekly Playboy is not the same as the Playboy magazine despite of the numbers of gravure photographs inside.
So apparently Keiko says she likes looking at the gravure photos of the ladies and is an avid reader of the magazine. lol.

Note that the Kalafina interview itself is just a normal interview. There are no gravure photos of the Kalafina girls.

Something about their taste in men in the interview too.

One reader on twitter concluded that: Keiko likes cute girls (see above statement). Wakana likes Shoujo manga (she probably described shoujo manga qualities. She basically went on an on as usual). Hikaru is really still Wakana's manga source. Wakana! Start buying some of your own and stop loaning borrowing from Hikaru.

H-how am I going to pick this up while I'm there. @bevan?

^ @Hatouchan, informal Manga borrowing seems to be quite normal in Japan.
correct English is "borrow from" and "loan to" but lots of English as a first language people get that wrong also.

@spoiler Aye lol. It's not that I don't know but when typing quickly and not going back to check, strange things get by lol. That and because I like to edit sentences while I am in the midst of writing. <.< I must say it is the Japanese version of loan/borrow that truly confuses me.

Regarding the manga thing, it's a running gag from the consolation nico live stream, during the corner where they talked about what they liked. Wakana kept going on about how much she likes the "Kimi ni todoke" manga but she doesn't buy any. All of it is from Hikaru. Comments then joked and asked her to buy it on her own. Wakana retorts with her being economical in mind.

I'll take your word for it. lol At least I'll provide you with a translation after.

On another note, I am frankly quite surprised that they are okay with putting Kalafina in this magazine. It's not even the first time IIRC. I would have thought that they would want to stay away from that, image wise.

*puts heart-attack back on shelf*

LOL thanks for clearing that up, Hatou! :XD: It is a bit weird having just a normal interview in a gravure magazine hahahaha :ohoho: But I honestly can't imagine the girls doing a photoshoot like that, not just because it doesn't fit their image as a band but I can't even imagine the girls being totally comfortable with that on a personal level.

Also HAHAHAHA KEIKO :XD: just embrace your desires :plot:

It does seem a bit odd, yes. Thing is, Kalafina's image is just as much about the gorgeous dresses as it is the girls themselves even if you take the music out of the question, and gravure and big poofy dresses just don't mix although I'd be fine with more of Wakana's collarbones

Haha Keiko is so cute, but is she actually a lesbian, or is she does playing around? (Not being homophobic - I am gay myself). I think when she said 'I prefer girls' on that singing show she started giggling after...
I'm not sure I would have done an interview in their shoes, for Weekly Playboy however. Oh well :L I suppose its one way to expand your fanbase. I know they did no photos, but they are all pretty anyway, so maybe caught some people's eyes. I hope they never do photos of that kind though - they have too much talent to waste.

I love you Keiko :shy:
