Joelle (non-Kajiura works)

I’ve realized that she’s sung quite a bit and I’ve seen some of her videos in the past. She also plays the violin if I recall correctly.

She’s the kind of vocalist in Joelle’s lane, having skill in singing both in English and in Japanese, and displaying that kind of expressive and fluid vocal register and dynamics’ movement.

Her voice is that mix of Disney, classical, pop, jazz, and classic Japanese sensibilities. She’s a bit further along career-wise than Joelle in some aspects though, from what I’ve heard.

I think the comparison helps to more of a sense of Joelle’s style and approach as a singer, though Joelle could be a bit more dramatic.

A solo song by Joelle. I just realized I’m not familiar with her discography... 🫢 🫢

This song had a dance/electronic pop feel that reminded me of Perfume, the electronic pop dance group - juggernaut in JPop.
She sang a few songs for Final Fantasy 13-2. Starting Over and Ruined Hometown are GOAT. Yeul's theme is a bit more usual Joelle (kinda melodramatic, in a good way). She should've sung the ending theme IMO. Her or Origa.

OK. A bunch of different names I have never heard - both the songs and the name "Origa".

Joelle ALVE EVENING JAZZ SELECTION 第1部

A quite young and cute Joelle (with short hair). Her voice is almost identical to how it is nowadays. Next-to-no change (except for more depth/warmth), so she's really maintained her voice over the years. 👌🏾

There were easy-listening jazz, traditional American pop ballads, and some faster-tempo jazz tracks.

I would like to have a collaboration live with Joelle, Kaori, and Miki Masuda together on stage, handling different standards and covers, doing solo, duet, and trio performances, with harmony sections. Miki and Kaori have both scatted to varying degrees, but I've not noticed Joelle displaying this particular skill, yet.
