Hi NoctuaTenebra. Welcome to CPM! :sparkleguy:
I agree that there are people around us that does not listen to Yuki's music the way that we do, so we get to talk about it here. I try to find ways to spread the wonder of her music around, yet there are no substantial results...

Anyways, have fun and hope you take part more in the discussions!

Welcome to our funny (or not?) forum! :XD:
I'm happy to see all who also likes Yuki's music as me. :sohappy:

Greetings from Germany!

PS: English is obviously not my first language, so I hope you can understand everything and forgive the mistakes :ohoho: You could also write in French, German or Latin (XD) to me if you wanted to ;)

Welcome! I first found out about Yuki Kajiura's music via Minori Chihara (who sang Nowhere with Savage Genius and Yozuca* at Animelo Summer Live 2008). I booked tickets to Animelo Summer Live 2011, ordered Kalafina's Red Moon blu-ray as they would be performing, attended the concerts, then after the concerts actually met Minori Chihara and Chiaki Ishikawa.

I've since returned to Japan 3 more times, seeing Minori Chihara once, Chiaki Ishikawa 3 times, and Yuki Kajiura and the singers once. I was booked to attend day 2 and 3 of Yuki Kajiura Live vol. #9 but ended up in hospital in Tokyo instead, and received very nice consolation gifts, a get-well card, book and CD all written in by Yuki Kajiura herself.

Given Chiaki Ishikawa's association with Yuki Kajiura in the band See-Saw I highly recommend you check out the music of See-Saw and Chiaki Ishikawa.

Please enjoy your time here and ask as many questions as you like about Yuki Kajiura's music and related music and musicians!

Hi Noctua, welcome to cpm.

I really hope you have much fun here!
PS: I'm from Germany too :sohappy:

Re: Re:

Hello there! :sohappy:

We totally should! :sparkleguy:
Hime-san, up and agreed! :sparkleguy:

Surgam-kuun, you among all have to, remember, we have a vow! :knife:

@ george: Thank you! :sohappy: I hope you had a good sleep :3

@ Surgam:
Ah... if you only could transfer a bit of your talent to me! I could use it, believe me!
Ah, I believe you have a lot of other qualities that compensate your Latin skills! I'm sure you're a great organist and your English is perfect, too! :ohoho: See, I'm quite good at languages, but on the other hand I just don't understand physics or chemistry :uh..: Nobody can be perfect in everything :3
It is indeed a very beautiful town! You schould also visit it once! Btw, where do you live in Germany? North? South?
Yeah, I think I will! :ohoho: I live in the southwest of Germany :XD: Here, to be more precise: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maichingen
But in the wikipedia article, my town looks far more beautiful than it really is XD
You have a very good taste! (not strange at all!)
Sadly I can not play the abby ogans often, because only the monks usually play there. (There are some unbeliavably talented organists among them!)
By the way, If you are looking for beautiful organ pieces, listen to THIS!!!
This piece was actually the reason I wanted to play organ! They always play this piece on two organs at easter! EPIC!!
Thank you! :shy: I can only return the compliment!
OH MY GAWD, this piece really is epic! :nosebleed: It must be a great atmosphere in the chapel when they play it on two organs! Now I want to hear it live
@ chris & Phantomus: Thank you! :sohappy: I also try to make some of my friends listen to Yuki's music! Actually, one of them says that she likes it... but I'm not sure if she really does or if she only doesn't want to hurt me :XD:
All ok! Yuki's music always can found her listeners! Don't worry.
You're totally right! :sparkleguy:

@ Kugayama: *gives you a cyber-cookie* :ohoho:
Wow, so you attended a lot of live events! And you even met Minori and Chiaki! I'm so jealous  And it's a very sweet and gentle gesture of Yuki to send you these gifts! It must have been a really effective consolation! I hope you're now fine again! :3

@ ATroupeLeaderBaby: Thank you! :sohappy: And you're from Germany, too! :dote: I'm not alone~ :XD:

@ Megy: Thanks! :sohappy: Yeah, it's a great group photograph! :nosebleed: When I first saw it, I thought I had to die because of the cuteness XD
And I totally agree with you! Keiko's and Yuriko's voices are very special, in a positive way, and that's why I like them so much! And Hanae is totally awesome, too! :dote:

Well, that's quite a long answer XDDDDD

Yeah. Well Im usually a fan of all FJFC group photos but this one is just to die for :nosebleed:
Their voices totally stun me, Keikos deep low voice is just perfect, so good to hear! Im barging nonsense cos I cant think of good words to describe it.
And Yurikos voice has such a pleasant tone, it really gives me stuns, I feel like Im in heaven when I hear it..Its just so perfect!

My first encounter with Yuki's vocalists was Yuuka Nanri aka FictionJunction YUUKA
Later i knew others from FJ and thought who are they... Theirs voices really differs from Yuuka's voice. When I first saw the album Seventh Heaven for me it was strange - Kalafina's girls looked so doll-like it was for me some strange because at that time i just recently started listening to Japanese artists, and I did not knew about japan gothic fashion. After i was already knew that Keiko and Wakana also from FJ they amazed me with their beautiful voices: so deep tone by Keiko and fantasy soprano by Wakana.
In same time i found See-Saw's albums Dream Field and I have a Dream i fell in love to the Chiaki Ishikawa's voice so high with so power... I found all theirs releases, and now i want to buy 2 albums I have a Dream and Early Best, eh... I have a Dream out of print. Chiaki Ishikawa's solo career also deserves attention.
Now i adore them all, also Yuki's songstresses which sings in OST's - my in mostly favorites Eri Itou and Hanae Tomaru... and of course Yuriko Kaida.
Sorry for my english... :spotlight: but i try to improve it, use not only simple words. Welcome to our friendly international forum! :sohappy: :dote:
Oh... in first time i wrote too much! :dote:

Re: Re:

Hello and welcome to cpm!!!
Hope you'll enjoy your stay! This is truly a great place to share the love for everything Kajiura Yuki-related!!
It's so hard to find fellow Kalafina/FJ/KY fans in RL, aye, which is why I am so glad that I have discovered this forum. So many people that feel the exact same way about them as I do!! *weeee* :shy: :dote: It's like heaven on earth when you are finally able to gush over your idols and people actually KNOW what you are talking about :P

I am also not the biggest fan of Yuuka. She is the cutest thing ever, I'll giver her that, and I just LOVE the way she dresses!!! :shy: *weee* Her style is so cute!! BUT...so is her voice and for me, it's just a little too cute...it's your typical Japanese school-girl voice and in my book, that's just not particularily "special" contrary to KY other artists.

I do like her occasionally because she DOES sound good in some songs, Angel Gate for example, which is a very cute and cuddly song to begin with so it really suits her voice.

It's from AnimagiC, isn't it? I wanted to go there, too, but my mother didn't let me because I was too young and all alone
Oh noes!!
That's really unfortunate!! But one of these days, they will be back and THEN you'll get your chance as well!!! :cheer: :cheer:
I still feel so blessed that I was able to go and see them. It was, for lack of a better word, the MOST life-altering experience of my life! :dote:
But somehow I have a lot of regrets as I didn't treasure those moments the way I wanted to. It's so hard to explain but while I was experiencing all of that, I was pretty much hyperventilating the whole time (obsessing about this and that) which kept me from properly enjoying the event   Looking back on it, I wish I would have been calmer, this way it would have been a lot easier to preserve all those precious memories. Now, it seems as if everything is slowly slipping away from me...the memories are fading and I am trying harder and harder to remember what the looked like in REAl life... :comeback: :comeback:

Sorry!! This must sound weird to someone who wasn't even able to go. Apologies!! Didn't want to sound ungrateful or anything!!

Organ is really an instrument you HAVE to hear live! You can only guess how powerful it really is by a recording! This piece is indeed blowing you away and at the end it's incredibly loud! :ohoho: Btw, I am not (yet!) able to play this piece, because it's really fast and difficult fingerwork! :blood: I would make too many mistakes in accuracy, even the guy in the video makes some mistakes (and he plays it rather slowly). I never ever heard it faultless!

I think we can agree that you have BOTH a great command of English. Believe me, I know what I am talking about! I am tutoring kids when I am not busy studying so I get to see a lot of CRAPPY English (and even CRAPPIER German for that matter!!!) almost every single day. :omg:
So yeah, all I am saying is, don't hide your skills, don't be too humble and it's always a good thing to further educate yourself. There's always room for improvement! :cheer: :cheer:
"Non scholae, sed vitae discimus" :sparkleguy: I know, the saying is originally the other way around but hey, THAT'S the way it's SUPPOSED to be!!

I am ashamed to say that I am not really familar with all of Yuuka's songs. I am pretty sure I have listened to them all at one point of time but sadly, I don't know them by name. :spotlight: :spotlight:
So yeah, I had to look it up :ohoho:
*is back* Hai, hai!! She's great!!! Love the contrast between her really high (but quite gentle) and "cutesy" voice and the amazing music. Also, I feel as if there's more strength to her voice, especially in the beginning. Not sure how to say this 'cause I have no knowledge of vocals whatsoever but for me, it doesn't sound so...flat...for lack of a better word.

Thank you puts! :touched:

hi NoctuaTenebra :sohappy: this seems like a late introduction? :XD: anyway, welcome :sparkleguy:
I love sprinter and ARIA too  (Hikaru is my favourite : )
have you listened to Keiko in YK Live vol.9? She absolutely rocks that live; she's the only one I look at when I watch it

Are there even more group photos? Well, I assume there are, but I only found two of them, one without Hikaru-chan
Yeah, I know what you mean! Keikos voice is really soothing :nosebleed: And Yuriko is just a goddess :dote:

Same for me! At first, their style seemed a bit strange to me, too! And I couldn't distinguish between the girls because everyone looked the same for me... I was such a fool :XD: But later, I started to like it and I finally learnt their names! :ohoho:
The funny thing with Chiaki is that I knew her for quite a long time before I discovered Yuki! The connection only became visible to me when I heard of See-Saw :XD: I love "Uninstall", by the way!
I hope you can buy the albums soon :3
Sorry for my english... but i try to improve it, use not only simple words.

I think that your English is good! I understand you very well :)
This forum really is a great opportunity to improve the language skills!

I totally agree! It's a kind of cuteness overload XD I rather love warm, mature voices! But I always try to stay neutral while listening to Yuuka-songs... maybe I'll start loving her someday! :ohoho:
But somehow I have a lot of regrets as I didn't treasure those moments the way I wanted to. It's so hard to explain but while I was experiencing all of that, I was pretty much hyperventilating the whole time (obsessing about this and that) which kept me from properly enjoying the event
I know what you mean! And I think the same would have happened to me XD But never forget that, although you might not remember everything, you actually were there, and that is what counts! I think you'll preserve that forever in your heart :3 And with a bit of luck, they'll come back to Europe and you have another chance to get precious memories! I hope I'll have the chance, too! :ohoho:
Sorry!! This must sound weird to someone who wasn't even able to go. Apologies!! Didn't want to sound ungrateful or anything!!
Don't worry! :3 I think everyone knows this feeling!

Well, I don't like maths either, but my teacher is just too awesome, so I don't want to insult the subject! :XD: ARGH, 13 days left to study for the class test

Concerning the English-discussion: I think everyone here speaks (or rather writes) in a proper way! :dote:

@ Surgam:
I'm sure it's not ugly!
So, you don't live that far away from Switzerland! I assumed it to be so, because you mentioned that your mother had been in Einsiedeln once. (that's why I asked)
Hm, I'd say it WAS beautiful until they started building even more streets and houses :blood: I miss the fields!
Yeah, you're right! :ohoho: It's quite a strange feeling to write in English to someone while knowing he'd understand German, too :XD:

I wish we had an awesome organ (or even more!) in our church, too! XD We only have a really small one... well, it sounds beautiful anyway, but I want to be blown away, too!
I'm sure you'll be able to play it, too! It's all a matter of practice, and I believe in you! :cheer:

Finally... FINISHED! :imdead:

^ We have a few good organs in Adelaide, although many of the web sites are out of date:

http://music.adelaide.edu.au/elderhall/venue/

http://www.adelaidetownhall.com.au/town ... n-history/

http://wesleykenttown.org.au/index.php? ... pipe-organ

http://www.adelaidefestivalcentre.com.a ... eatre.aspx (organ can be moved on and off stage)

and no doubt several others in churches ( http://www.ohta.org.au/organs/sa.html );

and if you include an orchestrion:

http://www.capri.org.au/ (click on the link Theatre Organ)

As for venues in Japan that Yuki Kajiura has used, NHK Hall in Shibuya has quite an impressive built-in organ.

I often call myself "reverse of a bookworm" b/c bookworms eat books, but I eat homework and knowledge, which means I'm a worm that absorbs knowledge in books (and homework, but that gives me stomachache D:) :XD: And I'm not studious enough to be called a bookworm anyway :ohoho:

Hi Noctua!

Welcome to CPM, and nice to meet you!

I'm Casarina, but you can call me Cassie or Rina.

I love FictionJunction and Kalafina, but I also love Yuuka. :XD:

Love Mezame and Aria, too. Hikaru and Keiko did very well singing together in Aria, and Mezame's FJ live is awesome! :nosebleed:

Noctua, you live in Maichingen?!?! I live in a small town near Stuttgart! It's really nice to know that people near you (well sort of :XD: ) share the same interests as you. So funny :sohappy:
