Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten (New trailer out - In JP theaters on August 28 2026)

Do we think it's her on Rayearth too? I'm not that familiar with her voice yet, outside of Mononoke movie and now this Walpurgisnacht preview.
Could be. It still sounds Remi-ish to me, but the voice isn't very clear cause of the dialogue.
You mean the first bgm of the first trailer that we thought its Joelle, or the 2nd one ?
The first BGM is 100% definitely Joelle. The second one from the first trailer is the one that could be Maina

More Maina!

I'll stop here so it doesn't become a Maina thread, hue.

It might be a bit of an afterthought...Personally, how should I put it—this song "Kanata" feels just like the kind of music I vaguely dreamed of as a child, humming along while plunking away at the piano, thinking, "Someday, it'd be nice to create a song like this." It seems like the very essence of it. I'm sure this is the kind of song, the kind of sound, that made me start making music in the first place. (One of them, anyway.)And from when I was a kid, I suppose the music I wanted to make hasn't really changed at its core. There are endless things I want to do, and there's still so much I want to tackle here and there, so finishing this song doesn't mean something has ended for me. If anything, it feels like something new has begun. That said, if I hadn't crossed paths with the work *Walpurgisnacht Rising* right at this moment and been tearing my hair out over "What should the ending be?!" (lol), this song might never have been born. And if, in this very moment, I didn't have all my favorite fellow musicians, or these ideal divas to perform it, this song wouldn't have been completed. It's all about serendipity, I guess—I'm just deeply grateful for it. Thank you all so much! (tears)In other words, what I'm trying to say is—and I know it's weird coming from me, but—this is a song I'm really, really fond of. I'm thrilled that I was able to create it. It was a joy to perform it live with everyone. And above all... if you listen to this song too, and if—if you happen to think, "I kinda like this," there'd be no greater happiness for me.Hoping it reaches your ears.#FictionJUnction

What does she mean "song like this"? : the melody or the lyrics, cause we ve seen that melody before on Ring your bell, and alot of other songs have similar vibes like lighthouse, sweet song, or everytime you kissed me, seventh heaven yume no daichi, and im sure if you see the lyrics you ve seen them before each line in some of the songs she created in the past as well like for example "sea and pearls" or taiyo no koro. Does she have a particular melody or lyrics in mind that she tries to perfect in all those decades ?

I do find Kajiura's little snippet interview answers cute but in the end they are very samey. Like the song is cute and samey xD She does say the core of her interests hasn't changed so much.
