Game musics thread :)

lol i completely ignored the second one.
apparently one of the composers builds their own instruments so possibly that's what he has. it looks like a stringed instrument though (he's holding a bow). interesting

(No Kajiura unfortunately)

Maybe there will be anime music for the Closing Ceremony? ^^

I'm not even talking about the scandalous hiring of 2 certain composers for the rest of the ceremony -if only it was the only scandal of #Tokyo2020...

Mixed-up with "The Video Game Thread" the other day so I'm reposting here + new tracks

#176 Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- / Hideyuki Fukasawa
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRK0xROfy6Y7h30 by him... But as if they had decided to loop most of the tracks to compete with this year's XL OSTs.
ヴローヴ:Ⅲ drums totally sound like Tom Holkenborg's signature. Maybe he has used his percussion library? lol
Anyway, the coverart is so great, even Enuma00 wouldn't have done better.

The Game Awards 2021 happened, but Lorne Balfe didn't conduct the medley this year.

Instead, he conducted during Horizon: Forbidden West's stage presentation following a new trailer (gorgeous gameplay and music).
Lorne Balfe x Julie Elven, one of those crossovers I didn't expect.

And as expected, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… won the Best Music Award.

Horizon Forbidden West, Volume 1 / Joris de Man, Alexis Smith, Joe Henson, Oleksa Lozowchuk, Niels Van Der Leest

Lot of vocals, sound design with futuristic textures coupled with the heavenly voices of returning Julie Elven and now Melissa R. Kaplan.
Volume 2 (March 11), Volume 3 (March 25): good thing to release the full thing slowly. I think it's a serious contender for this year's Game Awards.
I'm still not done watching the game movie...

Pretty obsessed with The World on her Shoulders since summer '21.
