~Stepping into the new year, I wish Emiko many successes and lots of laughter and good memories.~

Emiko uploaded some videos singing with Lino Leia in her TikTok. Glad to see the girls cooking because I think they could do something interesting (I can't listen to the videos though right now so can't tell how their voices complement each other but I think there is potential to the contrast in their voices creating a cool sound)

😍Powerful and emotive singing from Emiko! Wow, she really started with gusto! Also surprised to hear Emiko LINO LEIA do a section. Her voice was also bold. Like the comments said Emiko was almost clipping the mic with her volume/power!

"September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire. Nice classic song! I'm liking these kinds of faster, more energetic songs for Emiko and LINO LEIA to sing in English. Waiting for a Kajiura "ego" debut for her with Joelle - a duet, maybe?

Woooow! A classic Japanese song, I believe. Hey, this gave me much more respect for LINO LEIA's vocals as a lead. She's really, REALLY improved! Her lead voice really shone in this song with a beautiful and even vibrato! Her voice was resonant and clean and cut through (yes Emiko toned down her volume/power to support, but that was expected). Nice!

Maybe I was hoping more for some sort of Kaori Yuuki power combo, which wasn't it, but it was still very good. LL has stepped her game a lot, I feel her voice has become fuller too so the constrant is not as big, though they still compliment each other better. Though the audio was kinda not great, so I still feel like I need a proper mic setting to see how their tones blend properly. I still want them to make a single together.

I agree.

Her improvement is shocking, at least from what I've heard on her social media when she first started where she was quite pinched and nasal (going for the Japanese cutesy sound I guess). She's really leaned into the fullness of her voice and she can only keep improving.

for a second i thought she was participating in the show too, but she is not cast, so I'm guessing she is visiting friends.

Also, I don't remember if we ever shared the chips commercial she took part on 2017 and got pretty popular

Also, her family recorded an album together (parents and both sisters)

Whole album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6qzoHkyQyY&list=OLAK5uy_lvw3oZiwmH_W67WuqULcw-tFOWPUU85IE
Track 2 - Cover of Jackson 5's "I Want You Back"! So cute hearing Emiko's powerful lead on that song. Her vocal energy level is always high. Interesting contrast with her sister's voice as she came in for the second lead.

Emiko's sister's voice is very J-Pop influenced. In track 9, it reminded me of Suzuka from Babymetal (Su-metal).

Yeah, the sister is a great singer too, but Emiko sounds more distinct. Kinda going Christina Aguileraish at times.

Bonus track: Emiko and another singer covering Whitney's version of I will always love you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXkau4BFAlE

Gospel Koshien 2015 Preliminary Round to Final Round (Emiko Suzuki)

She's a different level of singer for a Japanese. This was when she was still in high school!
Reading on her family story makes sense, she was already recording when she was 4 and it's clear that music is very important for the family as something they actually practice and cherish. She has grown up singing, playing and composing. You could argue she is a nepo baby in a way, but she also has clearly shown she has worked for it.

I was thinking she reminds me of Laco at times voicewise, then started looking and Eliana who has worked with Emiko in musicals, also has worked with Sawano. Maybe one day we get Emiko with Sawano too.
