I think it's an excellent time to be judgemental. I wish judgement had occured sooner, so she could have judged properly whether she would be able to understand the responsibility that giving birth entails, and whether or not she would be capable of giving that unborn child the life it should have.
Becoming a parent isn't a fashion statement, or something you do on a whim; it's a lifelong commitment that you have to be sure you're ready for.
So yes, being judgemental is necessary, as 16 is far too young to be having a child, because you are still a child yourself.
I, personally, will continue to be judgemental towards this decision right up until the moment where she proves to be a wonderful parent, because wonderful teenage parents do exist, despite how rare and elusive they are.
However, I will also do everything I can to make sure that she does become part of that rare and exclusive niche of wonderful teenage parents, because every child deserves good parents.
As I said, I have many feelings on the subject.
