"Believe in the Onion" season is back to CPM!!! lol....My faith is in the Onion.... :plot: . The added string in Annani is yummy... but Shizukana is far better... Its original is Yuki's song for Gundam that I like the least... I like it now...:).

I found anna no isshou datta no ni's bridge too chaotic: doubled chorus + bass + strings + some other instrument = :@_@:, the rest was ok although ididnt liked the bass sound at the very end of the song.

Shizuka na Yoru ni rearrangement is really nice :dote:

EDIT 2: Oh i forgot to add that this anna no isshou datta no ni instrumental is AWESOME :nosebleed: :dote:

Agreed.
The way the bass player ends his/her sound is a bit more cooler in the original version, I think XD

Actually, I think there was no bass in the original version...as far as I know, it was just violin and guitar, and the rest was synthesized. But it's a new bassist in this Retracks version, so maybe he's got a different style. I wonder why it wasn't Jr? :ayashii:
 
I definitely like this version more than the original Anna ni..

I feel like translating the whole thing all over, but I'm currently too lazy to do it, so I'll just re-translate this part which I think is critical:

Isn't this supposed to be:

If we were destinied for each other,
We wouldn't be saying that we're 'sad' or 'lonely'.
No matter how many times the connected words are spoken meaninglessly,
We would still send a dull night anyway




And about the line break, I think it's strange but I need to take a look at the scans to make sure. Maybe I'll PM you when I find the scan on my PC and finish checking..?
 
I just got my cd today. I like it. I like the use of more violins. The instrumental version of Anna ni is great on this cd. Not sure which version I like the most, the new or the original. I did not know that Yuki composed Shizuka na yoru ni until a little while ago. heh I knew she had other Rie Tanaka songs. Overall I enjoyed it. :dote:
 
^ She didnt, shizuka na yoru ni is composed by Toshihiko Sahashi, but Yuki did lyrics and arrangement for it, so now she did rearrangement.
 
^Ah, I see. Thanks. The original did sound kind of like Yuki though. heh I do like this new version too.

I like it, mainly because of the strings...the original Anna ni was always a little flat for me, and the strings make it more interesting. Plus it sounds a bit more like an action theme in the choruses.

I'm surprised that there's no "once in time, you were my love" in the bridge, though. Maybe Chiaki wasn't available to record it? :ayashii:

As for Shizuka na Yoru ni, I like the arrangement, but Tanaka Rie is saccharine as usual, and the melody isn't particularly interesting, at least for me. There's something about it that could be beautiful, but falls just short of it. I never listened to the original.
 
Ok, it took me quite some time to actually listen to the single, but I must say I was surprised. Both versions were nice, I'm addicted to both songs.

I have to admit, I like the Retracks version a bit better. There's something more comforting about it, with all the strings. :ayashii:
