I have reached Yuki nirvana

Kalafina performed Magia and oblivious. :sparkleguy: :sohappy:

It was an AMAZING performance. Spot on singing from Hikaru and Wakana, Keiko was a little off but it's okay and understandable since it's a TV live. :uh..: Obviously whatever went wrong was the fault of the TV staff - they probably had bad monitor levels! :ayashii: Oh wait - they had earpieces... STILL it was definitely not any of the girls fault! They are PERFECT as they are! :nosebleed:

KALAFINA GANBATTE! We believe in you! :chuu: :dote:

Edit: download down

Hey grunty wasnt the live supposed to be held at November 23 ? Or they changed the date ? http://canta-per-me.net/upcoming-works/

I also want the backing vocal of oblivious, love the intro. About oblivious, seriously its their first song and they still haven't managed to sing it perfect although they sing it at least since Jan 2008 when the single was released? =_= I think I agree with you on this.

Magia is ok imo, although Hikaru needs more power in her singing i think.

Thanks grunty!

I want oblivious instrumental without Kalafina. Pre-recorded Kajiuran vocals shouldn't be in there if it makes Wakana and Hikaru's off-tune notes more obvious. oblivious almost 4 years old, Kalafina still can't sing it properly?

Magia so messy. Wakana's high harmonies were.... yeah. Last guitar solo line was funny. Thank goodness for acceptable Keiko bridge.

My comments :sohappy: ...
Magia... What a very unsatisfying performance... :blood: So boring... And the instrument did not even help to make up the mood there... I can't find a part that seemed good enough in there... lol, so much for my expectations... :uh..: Well, at least they are not too lost in tune, unlike their fail lives back in 2009 or so... Yes, because of the sound of this one, I compared it to their previous era with least improvement... They should do so much better next time... or their pride as the singer who actually performs good live songs will fade... I'm really disappointed... I expected them to be able to do great, but... I guess you can't have anything you want... :spotlight:

Oblivious... I like the intro instrumental, or rather.. the whole instrumental perf itself... so calm... but the instruments are still too weak for the perf itself... First part was good, only before until Wakana sang.. something seemed wrong with her here... And I sorta like the "ahhhh" parts but does not satisfy me at all.. Hikaru's quite good in some parts, but some parts, she isn't... lol, the inconsistency! >_< Keiko is also not satisfying, it's like she's having few difficulties in some part, or maybe she did something in her usual style, changed it a bit to something I don't quite like...

~Overall... LOL, for the first time their live didn't send shivers to my bones... I won't call this FAIL, but it's something I will never tell stories about... or rather, something I might forget or might disregard in the future... =_=

~But I might re-listen to Oblivious since I like the instruments there, and some parts there are not too disappointing... and also not too satisfying too...

Ah, Kalafina..... What was that, really? Go seek Kajiura! In these cases, I get the feeling you didn't even consult her before you sing live... =_=

I get the impression that the general consensus is something like "sub-standard performance", then?

More like just as expected from Kalafina when there's no studio magix involved. Perfection!

OK, let's get the grunty hating going.

Kalafina performed Magia and oblivious. Delicious cancer indeed. Keiko was the best (and the only one showing promise) while Wakana and Hikaru should not be allowed to perform live until they learn to do it.

Enjoy.

tldr: Keiko plz2go solo & I want the backing track they use on oblivious.

That doesn't mean she did well either, also because she sings way less main melodies than the other two.Make her sing more and do higher vocals and then we'll talk. I like her the best lately as well, though but those lives were overall bad.And what's wrong with the music? Everything seemed out of place :blood:

Thanks for sharing though!

I'm heading home right now, so I'll edit this post, but I have the impression that this performance was beyond tragic.

-EDIT-

Jesus, what is wrong with Wakana? She sounds even worse than when she had caught influenza.
I don't think I have much to comment, since everyone here pretty much said what I think about the performances as well.

But Magia's solo was...no comments XD

One thing that I've noticed, though. It seems to me that everytime Hikaru sings Magia, she seems tired, even if she didn't sing anything before. Is it just me?

Make her sing more and do higher vocals and then we'll talk.

Somehow I imagine that someone trying to sing outside of their vocal register will sound bad no matter what it is, like if you attempted to force a soprano to sing a song arranged for a contralto, note for note.

Though, I don't know much about music.

Oh maybe you are right.Maybe i am also imagining that the other two usually try to sing in a higher or lower range (like Hikaru in Magia) but then again,i don't know much either, just saying.

Oh so tragic... I feel bored to death... It was on loop in my player, yet I didn't even notice it playing... :uh..: And the looping was an accident...

Okay, now you are making me play that song again, and i never planned to do this :XD:

I'm just going to repeat what I said earlier. Just listen to oblivious bridge where Keiko and Wakana are singing the same parts. Wakana is failing hard (in what should be her comfort zone) while Keiko (outside her comfort zone) is doing it spot on.

Lemme just react on these... I don't think Keiko did pretty well at all, not even better than the other two... Magia's bridge was a BIG fail for me... and in oblivious, she sounded.....err...no good... I mean... it sounded like... I don't even know how to describe it... let's say, someone whose voice is not high enough but forces herself to try singing in soprano... =_=

~Oblivious in their YK live 2008 opening act will never be beaten and never be repeated ever again, I guess... Unless they do something significantly good about that...

Umm,yeah,as far as i can listen, they all did bad. :uh..:
Unless i am deaf and missed someone's magic in between the songs.
