NOTE: I am changing the way I do these to make it more reader friendly. I will still mark each section by time. I will now just add in comment as I see fit as you will see how below.
Before the start of the actual analysis, I will show all instruments used in the song and the time signature of the song. I will also provide a link to an upload of the video onto you tube just in case you do not have a copy of the song.
Hopefully, the times of the song listed is not much different between the file and the Youtube upload. But, I am pretty sure everyone here is capable of separating each section, or at least able to hear a change in the song. Please wait until the video has the 480p option (It should, if not ill try to re-upload it.), I just uploaded it so yah... It is so that you can hear clearly.
Instruments - Drums, Violin, Vocal 1, Vocal 2, Guitar, Piano, Bass (I think there is a Viola too, but I did not feel like adding it, please listen carefully when it is playing however.)
Time Signature - ¾. 3 beats per measure. 1,2,3,1,2,3... Etc.

Intro (0:00 - 0:25) -
Instruments - Drums, Violin, Vocal 1, Guitar, Piano, Bass.
- The main purpose of the intro is to identify the main melody that defines this song. Listen as the Violin and the Vocal 1 play practically the same thing.
- The piano and the violin is playing together right from the start here. Some drums too.
- When the vocals come in, bass and guitar join in.
- In the transition into the next part of the song, the violin gets a cool little part.
A (0:25 - 0:53) -
Instruments - Vocal 1, Piano, Drums, Guitar, Bass, Vocal 2, Violin.
- The drums are slowly starting to play more here. Not much more, but still much more than in the intro.
- Listen for the traces of guitar. It plays 3 notes separately, but then those notes are held to form a chord.
- Listen well when Vocal 2 comes in. The Vocal 2 seems to signal the transition part into the next section.
- The Violin does not seem to be playing until Vocal 2 comes it for the transition. Listen when it comes in.
- The piano played mainly bass notes with flowing rhythm. When the transition hit, the piano seemed to be playing the same thing. This is because the song got louder with the drums and bass. The piano is very hard to hear in this part.
B (0:53 - 1:25) -
Instruments - Bass, Drums, Violin, Vocal 1, Vocal 2, Guitar.
- Remember this melody? This is the same one as the Intro. This is the Chorus.
- Listen to the beautiful part the Violin is playing. Single it out, and listen to it with the rest of the instruments.
- Isolate Vocal 2. Hear how it supports Vocal 1, but also hear how it is unique. Vocal 2 is great here because it does not steal the spotlight from Vocal 1, but it can be heard very easily.
- Bass and drums provide most of the power here.
- I am pretty sure the guitar is playing here. I hear it. It is only playing a chord on the ‘down beat’ - the first beat of a measure. 1 , 2, 3, 1 , 2 ,3 … Listen carefully here. Guitar is mainly for rhythm, not melody in this song.
-Listen for the Violin near the end of this section. It is the same as the end of the Intro.
A (1:25 - 1:54) -
Instruments - Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocal 1, Violin.
- Drums and bass holding back power. Listen when the Violin (Probably a viola, but whatever lol) comes in.
- Note the piano. It is playing something much more different than before in the previous A section. It is playing much more aggressively this time around. It is matching the Vocal 1 pretty nicely.
- Nothing much different other than the above statement.
B (1:54 - 2:24) -
Instruments - Vocal 1, Vocal 2, Violin, Drums, Guitar, Bass.
- Chorus again.
- This is not played much at all different.
Duet (2:24 - 2:42) -
Instruments - Bass, Guitar, Vocal 2, Piano, Violin.
- Vocal 2 and Piano Duet. Bass support.
- Listen to when the guitar comes in. Vocal 2 changes to longer notes to provide a whole sound along with the guitar. Listen for this.
C (2:42 - 3:02) -
Instruments - Vocal 1, Guitar, Drums, Bass, Violin.
- This part is a chant, I guess.
- Listen to this part and look for it in the next part.
- Notice how the drums are playing the symbols much more. It is adding accents and intensity from here until the end. Listen and keep track of it for the rest of the song.
C+B (3:02 - 3:32) -
Instruments - Vocal 1, Vocal 2, Drums, Violin, Bass, Guitar.
- This B remains unchanged as usual. But, there is something different right? Listen to it carefully. YES!! C is also added to it. This is my favorite part in the whole song. When one melody is played along side another and it sounds GOOD, the result is a “musicgasm”.
- The terms for interweaving 2 different melodies is (I have no clue…).
End -
- I don’t really have anything to say about the ending of the song.
