She’s been very quiet the past year so I wondered if pregnancy was a possibility. Hoping that things continue to go well for her. She and Tobinai have made some truly great songs together and here’s to the future!

Masahiro Tonai's message

On this occasion, I have established a new management company together with Aimer, and we will be continuing our musical activities under this new structure.

I would like to once again express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us over the years, as well as to everyone who has been involved with us through our work and music.

On a personal note, Aimer has recently given birth to her first child, and a new chapter has begun for her family as well. Both mother and child are doing well and are in good health.

I will devote myself to sincerely engaging with the music I believe in, striving to create even better works.

I look forward to your continued support.

Masahiro Tonai

And there's already a concert announcement

Aimer's official staff account has announced the first event of the Aimer 15th Anniversary Project "NORANEKO", which will also be her first live performance in approximately two years.

Aimer Premium Concert 2026 "Sing like a Stray Cat" - hiss -

  • Date: 3 November 2026 (Tuesday, national holiday)
  • Venue: Yokohama BUNTAI
  • Performance: Aimer + Kosuke Noma (piano)
  • Doors: 16:30
  • Start: 17:30

The concert will feature a particularly stripped-back format, consisting of Aimer's vocals accompanied only by piano, described by the staff as a return to the roots of her music. Kosuke Noma has been a longtime collaborator and has performed with Aimer on numerous occasions.

The announcement also says that the advance sale for the new official fan club, "NIGHT OWLS", starts today.

So this isn't simply a case of Aimer saying "I'll continue making music someday." We already have a concrete return to the stage scheduled for November, less than two months after this announcement.

Personally, I think the "piano + voice" format is a particularly interesting choice for her return, especially considering how much of Aimer's early identity was built around that intimate, stripped-down sound.

The official announcement can be found on Aimer's staff account on X.

TL;DR: Aimer has become a mother, is leaving agehasprings, has founded a new management company with Masahiro Tonai, and is continuing her career independently. Her first announced live performance in roughly two years will take place on 3 November 2026 at Yokohama BUNTAI, as part of her 15th anniversary project.
