My thoughts on the songs:

Traveling is the best of the re-recordings. I think it’s because the original arrangement was techno already. Utada sounds strained, but compared to everything else it’s a masterpiece.

Addicted To You is not great; once again, the vocals are pretty bad.

Hikari’s re-recording is an utter insult to the original.

The Flower song was pretty boring. Electricity was better but the chorus was too slow to keep me interested.
 
I feel like she's always been straining herself. Sometimes more, sometimes less. v( '')v Some songs are just a better fit for her range or easier to mask it in.
It's one of the reasons I don't like the Distance era - her pitchy voice always sounds like she's squeezing it out in constipation.

Glad they released them, even if it was some 6 months after their initial singles...
