What are you listening to right NOW?

It's the whole looped strings, then add layer of drums, then add synth choir, then add moar violin for extra pitchiness just to make it overbearing af.
It somehow added up to me thinking of you. Sry. 😜

I know I'm an immature dork but the age difference might be a little too much for us. I'm guessing long distance, too... :/

だ・い・き・ら・い-Megumi Hayashibara (this sounds like an old Kajiura song, like Saeko Chiba/See-Saw era. Especially the instrumentals. That's because it is... just looked it up. wow. Never knew about this song until I got the box set of Megumi's that just came out, I love Slayers so much, it is my favorite anime)

Probably the first Reona song I like....ANIMA is decent but this one checks all my favorite song styles (dynamic singing, catchy hooks, unique synths-those plastic percussions need to go tho, and somehow exaggerated choirs. Yup will wait for the full song
Thanks for sharing, I like this song too! I enjoy people whispering in songs and she's good at it, although Sawano's compositions are the best for this feature imo (like in「Time」with Reona). ^^

Still Aimer collab strongest for me :ohoho::ohoho::ohoho:
Oh right I also like tsukihime remake opening lol

This year one of my guilty pleasure is liking songs that has those vocals/choirs+claps-synths that sounds like claps lol something like this:
YOASOBI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4nEEZwckuU 0:28-0:39 3:38-end
RADWIMPS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saDmN2f3HI0 4:42-4:55

I think western music has more of this but haven't encountered yet...Anyway if you know songs like these please do share :gimmeh:

The bulgarian choir is on point there :)

I really like these two haha

Is anyone into Yukari Hashimoto? I just got her Sarazanmai and Samami-san soundtracks, and I've really enjoyed Yurikuma and Penguindrum.

Yes! I watched Sangatsu last year and I fell in love with that soundtrack. Yurikuma is really good and probably my favorite of her Ikuhara collaborations. Penguingdrum's ost is great in the show but as a standalone experience it's a bit lacking, though children of fate is still an awesome track.

Ooooh I'll check it out. Thanks~

It's my favorite as well. Love almost every track, even the crazy Ave Maria arrangement hue.

Agreed. Children of Fate and Kizuna are great tracks, and have some really good arrangements, but the rest of the soundtrack isn't as strong.

I was so sad the a. guitar rendition of Children of Fate never got released. It's probably my favorite bgm from the show. At least all the Triple H songs got released. The voices/harmonies/whatever were a little high pitched for me in some of those songs, but the arrangements are lovely, especially Ash Wednesday (though the solo version we heard in episode 9 was better than the official release...)

There were so many versions of it on the tokutens and your favorite wasn't there?
I don't think I've seen the BDBOX tokuten soundtrack.

Yeah I downloaded whatever was on hikari and made my way through every track. It wasn’t there.

It’s the track that played while Himari and Sanetoshi talked about love in the hospital.
