Kalafina's 5th album wishlist.

My wishes:
- A sad and simple ballad sung by Wakana with a low key (I've always had a heart attack whenever Wakana shows off her low register, so more of that plz)
- A Keiko solo song. Just anything. And if she was going to sing a song with her as main, I'd love her to sing it with a really deep voice, cause I love it when she sings like that
- As I've mentioned before, a power ballad sung by Hikaru
- Folky song
- screamo
- I just want a crazy violin track plz
- Maybe some cello, cause I live off cello
- More Hikaru (she's being pushed off the bit lately) and more Keiko, less Wakana
- heavy metal


I'm asking too much now :XD:
 
Recently it's no Hikaru-lead songs.. I miss dark tracks like destination unknown, mata kaze tsuioku natta... Maybe in 5th album will appear some Hikaru-lead songs. Maybe she has problems with her voice? During consolation live she was in bad form.

I agree. But her voice in the Budokan lives seems to be great by what we've heard, and she's been in better form lately. Let's hope she'll get another main!
 
Her voice seems fine recently from what I've heard. Everything sounds a little off in regards to the Consolation Special Final so I don't think that really counts against Hikaru or anyone else.
 
Tbh I think Hikaru sounded pretty off in Budokan. I'm thinking about reports we had from people who attended the live and, mainly, about the preview. Ofc are just few seconds but I didn't like her part in Hikari Furu and sprinter sounded kind of strained. (but tbh I don't think we will ever hear Red Moon live sprinter again)
 
LisAni 2010 live's sprinter is much better than the Red Moon one, but yeah definitely agreed that Hikaru sounded so strained in Hikarifuru and sprinter (also iirc she was really off tune in Eden from that concert bits showed in Mezamashi TV (?) report and interview.) But I do hope we get a more prominent Hikaru songs in their new album when we get one. For now let's hope at least one of the three new songs from One Light single will have more Hikaru. I'm leaning towards One Light here because based on the promo picture, the light shined at Hikaru the most :XD:

I think hikaru has certainly been underrepresented in the recent singles heavenly blue, believe, Kimi no gin no niwa, alleluia, hikarifuru... It's actually been 3 years since a single featured her as the lead chorus singer (last being "moon festa")! But judging from the pattern of Kalafina in anime songs, I think Wakana is THE voice of kalafina that people are growing towards.. Even though we know all three have great lead vocalist potential, I think Wakana is the voice that most people "know".. So I'm not putting high hopes into having hikaru leading in "one light". Unless Kajiura decides to be cute and give it to her because her name means "to shine"..

I don't remember if I've posted this or not but
I NEED MORE SONGS WITH NOZAKI ON DRUMS DAMMIT at least even though the song isn't that good the drumming will still please me
 
I personally would like:
-Much Less Wakana.
-A dark song (Magia, DU) lead by Hikaru
-Rock (other than One Light) lead by Keiko
-A folk track or 2
-Obbligato 2.0 (I love that song :shy:)
-A piano ballad like Haru wa or Kugatsu.

If that happens (or some of it), I'll be happy :tea:.

i agree with this completely. only reason yk live #4 was so damn good was because nozaki was there. something really good about his drumming.
 
Not only Nozaki. I wish they would bring back their 2009 live band (first half of the 5th anniversary live selection, progressive and red moon bonus live dvds). These Kalafina lives were full of energy and freshness. I used to love Korenaga, Konno and the rest but recently they seem very bored and uninspired.
 
It would be cool if FJ and Kalafina had different FBM.

FJ could keep the current FBM (well, replace Sato hue), and Kalafina could have the guitar and bass players from the premium live, Sakurada on keyboard, Nozaki on drums, and not sure on the violinist. Marina has a cool style, but her violin sounds weird.

And both could share Rie Akagi and Yoshiaki Sato, and any other guest musician.

THIS SO MUCH. The bits from Kalafina closed premium live is so much fun to watch because everyone on the stage looked like they're enjoying what they're doing. Or maybe just like @Kowz said, at least use them for Kalafina live events. Completely agree again on point regarding Konno and Korenaga. My biggest problem still lies with Sato though because drums is essential to bring the mood of the songs, and by itself the whole concert. Sato's drumming is totally *by the book*, that is only to keep the tempo of the song it feels like he doesn't really *feel* the song if you know what I mean.

Yes the squad of Nozaki lovers is growing I'm so happy.

I don't think we'll get Hallelujah, KnGnN or Misterioso (sigh), neither HB (yay!), because they already were included on the Best albums, even if I know they don't count the same way than other albums; But single releases were simply too many since Consolation, then it seems logical to me not to include them once more, so that it can make space for lesser known or new songs.

This lets something like 6 extra songs. I'd like to have two other B-sides, maybe from previous singles, like Tsuioku, Lapis or Dolce. And then 4 brand new songs.

Amongst those, a Keiko-led rockish song would be great!
Then, we can't skip the traditional electro song, lead by Hikaru or Wakana.
A dark song with strings could also make it.
And to conclude, a folk song.
Nothing very extravagant, to sum up.
