What music/songs did you think wasn't all that great at first, but then later you liked it? Whether it's because it grew on you, you saw the anime and then liked it, you saw the live version or music video, whatever.

List 1-3 songs and why you first didn't like it to how you ended up liking it. I'll go first.

-- Ongaku - I wasn't really a fan of this at first, but then I saw the DVD and changed my mind thanks to Keiko. :XD:

-- Parallel Hearts - I thought it was okay, but after seeing Pandora Hearts I really liked it. In fact I didn't get sick of hearing it at the beginning of every episode.

-- Progressive - It grew on me later, mostly because I actually like the music video for this, so whenever I heard it later on, I'd see the video in my head.

Hmmm...I guess I'd have to say Oblivious and Sprinter...*gets killed* :blood: For some reason I didn't pay much attention to Kalafina's songs when they first came out. Then I saw the live version of ARIA and it was love a first...listen. That was when I started to actually take time to listen to some of Kalafina's songs and started to like them ^_^

Everlasting Song - I thought it was a boring song at first, but liked it more and more after listening a few times.

Oh my. :ohoho:

Still not a fan of Zodiacal Sign *hides*

I got sick of Salva Nos and Canta per Me after hearing them a bazillion gillion times on Noir. They're really nice songs, though. I just won't be listening to it for quite some time. :leaf: But I definitely like to listen to Salvanos II.

But yeah, Oblivious and Sprinter grew on me. The first after watching the Live version, and the latter after watching Kara no Kyoukai 5.

Sprinter xD I actually hated it when I first heard it and it became my favorite kalafina song a month later :D

umm, Lacrimosa ?? because Lacrimosa was the first Kalafina song for me but I'd never liked it before I like Kalafina :XD:

Even the song "Nostalgia", and "Akatsuki no Kuruma"... of FJY O__O

but I liked it after I listen on the FJY live vol 4....

hmm...

Aria - I dunno why but it didn't take a shine to me... But I listened to it again, watched some live shows of it and it is now part of my daily playlist... :sohappy:

Keiko's Synchronicity - *gets stabbed by many fans* I wasn't a fan of low voices back then.. But now I love it so much! that version of Synchronicity! It's so cool!

Kaze no Machi he - I didn't like it at all at first...*running from Furious fans* but a long while later, I thought It is pretty good...

i didn't like lacrimosa at first...but after i watched kuroshitsuji ... i like it the most :XD: hoshikuzu too ~ i love it so much after i watched yuki kajiura live 4 part 2 .. :XD: thanks to wakana and keiko :nosebleed:

i love all of them ! :nosebleed: some songs if u listen it more...u will like it more !! don't u think so? :XD:

Lots of Saeko Chiba's songs.
Examples :

(We are so) together
Ame no Violon
Hitori Demo, Futari Nara
Hoshi ga Tokete

so whenever I heard it later on, I'd see the video in my head.

LOL that's my point about many anime OPs/EDs - light as they are, sometimes I get hooked on a song just because I liked the sequence and just keep watching it in my head while listening to the song. :XD:
Among Yuki's works there have been a lot I listened half-attentively but later they caught my attention. A good and fresh example is Foretaste from Pandora Hearts, I have come to REALLY like this track. Other examples are too long to mention, I'll try that later. Well, I should admit that the majority of KnK tracks have yet to grow on me. :plot:

I didn't like Kalafina's Seventh heaven at all. But recently I've listened to tha album once more and found out the songs are beautiful.

As for FJYuuka, I didn't like Yakusoku and aikoi, but after watching the LIVE I got to like them. Same with synchronicity :ohoho:

Do you mean the many soundbytes or the ones with vocals (besides Kalafina)? It's got a ton of soundbytes, but that's all they are so as to set the tone of each scene. I think there was an interview where Yuki was asked what was the difference between composing for, say, Noir vs. for KnK, and she said she had full creative freedom for Noir, whereas with KnK she couldn't just do that because the KnK head honchos wanted to be very specific or something

I like certain KnK vocal tracks, like the later ones in KnK 7 with Homaru Tanae, or the ones with the Tokyo Konsei.

Aria - at first I was 'uhm whatever' about it, but now it has a special place in my musical heart.

Ongaku - I don't like it nearly as much as other songs, but at first a hated it a lil'. Now it's catchy and fun for me - watching Keiko hop around on stage singing it probably changed my mind.

Sapphire - I thought it was too plain when I first heard it, but after a few listens I realized how beautiful the orchestra is.

the whole Boogiepop and Others Image Album: the first time i listened to it it was "not my kind", but after a few years it has become one of my absolutely top 5 within kajiura works.

Hikari no Senritsu: the first time it was "WTF happens with this song", but after some time i love it, especially now "Red Moon" album is among us <.<

Petit Cossette OST: similar to Boogiepop Image album, now it's in my top 5 (especially Houseki :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: :nosebleed: )
