Yuki Kajiura ~Surprising Bouts of Nostalgia~

I believe the songs Limedia, Desert Sunset, We've Got Something to Believe In, and Maxwell's Witch initially flew under my radar when I was listening to them initially, but they grew on me hard and each one is an epic song in its own way as much of Yuki's music is.

Desert Sunset because it sounded average at 1st, but then listening to it more, the flute combined with violin sounds made it sound very strong and was able to put my mind at ease and enhance the situation the characters were in from El Cazador.

And Maxwell's Witch, while having the creepy chanting at 1st, I got used to it and the chanting almost seems as if it is guiding you towards something.

I think this is what a surprising bout of nostalgia is?

YES!!! Kokuyou no Kimi-Amai Yuuwaku!! -- i recently rediscovered this song too and was like O.M.G. how did i ever overlook that one? It's fucking incredible. I also recently "rediscovered" lamentation from Xenosaga II (which is actually very similar to Kokuyou)

another one close in style with these is "my dear feather" from tsubasa :)

The bass in lullaby is pretty damn nice...never really paid attention to it until recently...and I mean the lullaby on Noir OST 1. Not Fiction.

Speaking of Bass and Noir, Indio is magnificent. Especially the xylophone playing throughout the song's first half.
