But this is Yuki Kajiura Live. How can they perform a song that doesn't composed, arranged, or written by her? Koichi Korenaga is the one who re-arranged the song and Yuki only perform a little kajiuran for the song :uh..:
+1. If this were a FictionJunction they could perform Gatherway since is part of his discography (though they cannot include in their next studio album, imo).
And Gatherway has kajiurago?

Kajiura and Koichi co-arranged Gatherway for FJ. And as said before, it has Kajiurago in the chorus.

But I think you have a very good point, since it is not [composed] by Yuki and therefore might cause trouble performing it in YK Live. (Copyright issues). Maybe we can hope for ANIMAX live or other anisong live events.

Minori Chihara performed Rinbu Revolution in her live, just because she sung it on an anime event (IIRC)... I don't see any problems to them to perform a song of another artist.

I think that if they WANT to sing Gatherway, they can.

It is possible Gatherway may be performed, but it's just that when it comes to a more personal concert like the YK lives, maybe Kajiura would prefer to prioritize her own compositions over songs which were originally done by other artists (even if she had a hand in the new arrangements etc.). The probability is just lower for Gatherway to make its way into a YK live setlist. If you're talking about a universal event such as AniSama, ANIMAX MUSIX or AniUta, then FictionJunction performing Gatherway in those concerts is absolutely nothing strange like how Yuuka sang Arashi no Hero in AniUta. Perhaps it's more of an issue of showcasing works which are more personal to Kajiura? Also, other artists have done covers in their own solo concerts before in addition to their own tracks (e.g. Angela Aki) so as long as they get permission, it shouldn't be a problem? :ayashii:

As far as I know, playing songs in a concert is not against copyright laws. The copyright issue is for releasing the cover commercially in CD/DVD, etc. But even if Kajiura releases this live I don't think it won't be a problem. It is as Nick said, it would be good promoting for the series. Out of YK Lives, the fact that it isn't a Kajiura original wounldn't be a problem at all, but FJ never shows up out of YK Lives (aside from Animelo 2009, was there another event? :confu: ).

As Trunks said, if they want, they can, for sure.

it would be okie as long as yuki was part or has an involvement with the song, since it's a yuki kjaiura live.we should assume it's yuki related songs. well let's see about that hmmm

But who knows? I would love to hear it too :XD:

^ She did the chorus arrangement.

I've said that if you read my post carefully, George :XD:
And I have to say that I completely agree with what Keiri said. Keiri's post is more-detailed version of what I mean in my post.

And for the good-promoting of the series, I think it's useless because Brave Exkaiser is an old anime of 90s (?) and I think it's not really popular, even by now. If FJ covers a song of a not-so-old anime and that anime was still broadcasted in television, that will be different. It will be a promotion media for the series, absolutely.

Received this article in my news feed.

Apologies if it has already been shared elsewhere but anyway, here's an extremely rough point summary about what has been decided for Vol.7 FICTION:

Special features
- Madoka Magica BGMs
- Kara no Kyoukai BGMs

Fans can also look forward to
- FICTION II (Of course :XD: )
- Rekishi Hiwa Historia
- Most likely "stone cold" being one of the FJ songs (if they're performing more than one song) if "FictionJunctionの新曲が初披露されるなど" means anything. :plot:

@Keiri: haha, thanks! I saw Kajiura mentioning in one of her tweet 'bout including the new song in live vol.7 but I wasn't too sure which song she meant :XD:

now... Madoka BGM... YES.

Thanks for the info! :sohappy: Now this needs a DVD release more than ever...
I wonder if "BGM" means vocal ones or even instrumental ones (seeing as Rie Akagi appears, they could pull off something like Postmeridie :ayashii: :dote: ). But if there are vocal tracks... Madoka only has four. Now, Yuki singing Pugna cum Maga live would be beyond epic, but I'm not sure if it's possible to render Walpurgis Night theme to live band format, and I'd prefer Eri herself to sing Sis Puella Magica or Credens Justitiam... Although in any case, a live performance of such a short track usually suggests an expanded version (with the exception of Darklore). :stars:
As to RHH2... My bet is A Fruitless Love. :psst:

Oh that's really intewresting, thanks so much Keiri!! (If Eri is not guess Sis Puella Magica and Clemens Justiam will be sung by either Kaori or Wakana) .

Yep, Kajiura will have to make improvisations if they do perform BGMs with vocals assuming Kaori, Keiko, Wakana and Yuriko are the only vocalists to appear that day (which is very likely). Still, I'm very much looking forward to those especially given that we will get perhaps, as you suggested, Kaori/Wakana's version of Sis Puella Magica for example. :stars:

Btw, I just re-read the article and saw this
"歴史秘話ヒステリア"

Rekishi Hiwa HYSTERIA :psst:

me wants M19+20 (KnK3), M15+16+17(KnK6), and M24(KnK5)

definitely a fruitless love and maybe Historia: closing theme

stone cold :nosebleed:

DVD please
